Beyond Average: The Cost of a Visionary Life

in #hive-15385019 days ago

Only those who makes it above average live a better life than those below.

For a while I have been having these thoughts, "I must not live an average life." If I am to be asked, what is an average life? That is a life where one lives a life that has just a sole purpose to work, feed himself and his family and then repeat. There is more to life than just this; that is one above the average way of living, a life to cause a positive impact on that of others.

And to live a life above average, it starts with my vision. My vision to see, my will to do things differently from the way others do, to stand out, to put in a lot more effort and pressure, to think smarter, and to pursue at greater length things that are unbelievable and impossible to the eyes of the average man, or better said, the common man.

Everyone who I know who has achieved to live a life above average had a vision, had something they purused and committed to. Such life does not happen by accident, by choosing to live life at random but by taking intentional steps every day towards a vision strongly believed in.

What is my vision?

I know what I want for myself; my dreams are big and numerous. Looking at where I am now and where I want to be in the near future, there is a lot of self-development and daily building needed. The problem lies now in keeping the vision strong, staying hungry for my vision and not losing sight of what I want amidst the distractions that may come up during my daily activities.

We live in a world full of distractions, and it is very possible to lose track of your vision by forgetting that every activity you commit to daily has a direct impact on whether the vision will come to reality or not. This is why it is always important to remind yourself daily what you want for yourself so as to remember to say "NO" to things that go against what you envision for yourself.

Looking at my life, I have not been consistent in anything regarding my vision but have been consistent at being distracted from my vision. I have told myself I am ready to burn the bridge behind me, ready to sacrifice my life, and put everything behind me.

If my vision does not cost my life, then it is not worth pursuing; this directly means that I cannot attain the prize of achieving my vision without being ready to pay my life as the price.

Then maybe the universe will see that I truly want what I seek, since I am ready to become extreme towards having it. To become different from what people will call normal, to be seen as an outlier and to live a life different (greater than) from the average person.

It is more dangerous to live a life without a vision because you will most likely end up where you don't wish to be

This is very enlightening

thank you too

Keep up with positive vibes

thanks I will.

The vision is important and I think most of us have the vision to like a better life but procrastination is the main obstacle on the was and it distract us from the goal we set for ourselves.
I hope you will remain positive and reach to the place in the future where you want to reach.

yeah procrastination, is a thief of time. This is why I always try to learn to say No to things not related to my goal.

Bravo! I liked this reflection, it is really inspiring. I know that distractions appear every day, especially in our countries where it is convenient for them that we are average people, but it is good to stop and remember where you are going. I wish you continue being strong and persistent, because if I have learned something is that everything is possible, just that some take longer than others. Happy day to me, may everything you yearn for come true!...
