It all started when I saw a post by @nkemakonam89 in which she was treating herself. I was glad she was giving herself some me time, and you know, I am an ambassador of pleasure, so I couldn't not comment on the post.
Because of our engagement, she dashes me a WHOOPING!!! 2HBD to enjoy myself. I was surprised when she bestowed some HBD on me, and it made my day. So, to make the most of my day, I gathered my money and went out for a local treat.
I went to a food canteen not far from my house, which is only a 15-minute walk if you walk slowly. This time, I ordered Eba (garri) with ogbono and egusi soup, as well as pepper soup with goat meat and catfish.

Before the peppersoup was brought to the table, I was served Eba (garri). After dealing with the main meal, I see the peppersoup delicacy as the trophy to be won. The Fearless drink in the photo is a popular energy drink in Nigeria; I'm not sure if it's popular in your part of the country as well.
The peppersoup arrived just as I was finishing my meal. "I don't like how the peppersoup you give me is small in quantity, and you should try to make it plenty," I had already told the waiter. Aside from eating the fish, I enjoy drinking the soup. The spicy flavour is divine.
On the plate, you can see catfish and goat meat. I can assure you that the food tastes ten times better than it looks, and the best part is that it is very inexpensive in comparison to the last place I bought peppersoup.
A plate of peppersoup costs less than $1 here, but I paid $3 in Abeokuta. Surprisingly, the peppersoup in Abeokuta does not taste half as good as this plate of peppersoup I bought here in Lagos, and it comes in half the quantity.
So I figured it wouldn't be fair to eat all of these by myself, which is why I'm offering you this spoon to sample how delicious this pepper soup is. I'd like to know what you think about the taste of catfish after you've had a bite of it in the comment section below. π π
