Even though I have finished the whole semesters I had with my school, I still have some ties that still kept me in school. The first and most important tie I had with school was my school project thesis, which I had not submitted even after receiving corrections 3 months ago. It is a major holdback that has not been relieved because I was able to submit the hardcover of the thesis and also got it signed by my departmental HOD today.
Without submitting the hardcover, I would not be cleared out of the school, which means I would not be able to complete my clearance process and also receive the original result transcript of my school. So anything like furthering my education or going for NYSC would not be possible. Hence the reason why I had to make sure it was done today and not later.
Even though I have that done already, I still have some things tied to the school, which are clearance and also induction. There is convocation too, but attending that is not important to me. My induction is less than two months from now, which is on Jan 9, but for the convocation, the date has not been announced and most likely it is being shifted to the next set. Meaning they expect we, the past graduates, to come back after leaving to wear a gown and sit for boring lectures before taking pictures with those gowns. I don't think I would have the time for that; the only thing that can make me want to come is if my friends agree that we should all come together, then maybe it would be worth consideration.
After my induction, just maybe I would leave the school vicinity and find an apartment outside the school; possibly, maybe I might consider going to Lagos. There is NYSC too; that can only happen if I finish up my clearance in time but I am not in a hurry to do my NYSC. I want to spend some time on myself and then plan to work my NYSC at a place of convenience. That way I would not have to worry about travelling or about issues concerning security. Anyways, till then, I can't say much about NYSC now.
