Dear Hivians... True, it seems a bit unusual for a pig to be the protagonist of my entry for the #monomad challenge, but I grew up in a country house, next to my uncle's farm, basically I grew up among chickens, pigs, dogs, birds and more. Maybe that's why I love nature and above all to explore it. Although in this case I didn't go far, but I decided to photograph this pig of my uncle, since I've always had a good relationship with them, since I was a child I enjoyed stroking the pigs' heads.
Photographers are used to photographing beautiful, fascinating women, with deep and seductive gazes, with their soft and sinuous curves... I, on the other hand, who am not so normal, use beautiful pigs as a subject!
My fantastic models available were in fact two beautiful pigs weighing over 200kg, even if in the end I only used the images of one, for the simple reason that it was intrigued by my camera and when I took the photos it was not disturbed at all, in fact almost seemed to pose.
But if on the one hand I found the ideal model, a pig star of photography 😄.
The meeting with the other subject was not so friendly, it was immediately annoyed by my presence and snorted, while when I took the first photos with the flash, because it was already evening and there was little light, the pig pissed off and charged at me and nearly jumped the fence...
At that point I thought it was better to finish for that day, I didn't want to become the pig's dinner 😅. He was too enraged, maybe he thought he wasn't photogenic...
While our other friend was a pleasure to photograph, but in order not to disturb the irascible one as well I said goodbye too and left with these 4 shots.
Processing of the photos was quite fast, thanks to the flash which isolated and highlighted the subject, I had no difficulty creating a strong contrast with the blacks, working on lights and noise removal.
I hope you enjoyed these photographs, both for the alternative subject and for how I wanted to work and present them. Thanks for your time, I wish you a happy weekend, a hug from your @stea90.
