I have pretty bad experience watching others falling over, puking or losing their senses due to alcohol overdose. My youngest uncle loses all his fingers while chopping grass in machine under the influence of alcohol. I have an argument with my elders brother friends, who bought him home once senseless due to alcohol overdose. Being younger at home, such instances have made me quite alert over the alcohol doses. I have seen people addicted to alcohol have varied reason and excuses to drink. Especially in the region I am living now. Grown up.in unorthodox family, drinking alcohol is not in our habit. However, many get influenced with the alcohol culture and drink it secretly on any ocassio . With multiple things to look after, I always try to be in my limit, whenever I goes out to enjoy drink. I am more restricted only to Beer. A can (550 ml) or bottle of bear is enough. I meant just for enjoyment.
Anything excess beyond a limit alwsys have negative effects so does in case of alcohol. Drinking Alcohol beyond the limits may affects the brain by interfering with communication pathways, which can change mood and behavior. It can also make it harder to think clearly and move with coordination. People under the influence of alcohol, do crazy stuffs and many a times creates nuissance in society.
My First sip!
I remember, I drank my first beer at the age of 23. I visited Goa, the western part of India and very popular for beaches and drinks.
My first sip of beer was quite high. It was not high on me but, I was drinking , right on top of a lighthouse, far above from the ground. I was afraid of falling down if losing my balance. So I made sure to limit myself only to few sips. But it went well.
Coming back from the trip, I somehow share this with my Dad, I was afraid of being scolded but instead he warned me of not making a addiction or regular. He rather advised me that beer is more of a drink to beat summer exhaustion. Keeping his words in my mind, I alwsys made sure to stay in my limit, and never carried away "high" with alcohol.
Drinking for Fun!
As I enter the corporate and seen the various lags of life, I learnt it hard that to be sociable to and catch up with the pace of changing culture, "drinking" is must. I have seen drinking culture everywhere. Be it party, or festival, or any social gathering, people alwsys shown their love affairs for #alcohol. But inspite of everything, it never gets high on me. It is not that I didn't tried other alcohol beverages, like whiskey or wine or rum. But being content with few glass of beer is quite worthy. At least to enjoy every ocassion in a meaningful way rather than creating any ruckus. Beer has less alcohol content and hence quite safer than other beverages. I have also noticed some benefits of drinking beer, like it helps in getting rid of acidity issue so does with lever stone.
Beer can be a common point of interest that brings people together. A single glass of beer can make people more sociable. I do not wanted to be called a party spoiler. So i also.included it in my lifestyle. But i am not addicted to it. I consume it on some special ocassion when out with frinds. The secret is nobody know about it in my family. 😃
All photographs are mine, from beer consumption during this summer time.
