There are twos sides of a coin. Likewise, every human being have two aspect. Each one of us have certain pros and cons in our nature or behaviours. Even though we are not aware of them, but while we have certain qualities to be proud of at same time we have some flaws too. Many people are not aware of their flaws but a feedback from other person helps them to identify them. It is now upto them ,how to work on the feedback either to work on their negative part to make it better or to leave it as it is. This is what makes "feedback" very importsnt in life.

I used to be a fast spoken boy. Inused to get very speedy while talking. People used to understand only few words. However some timely feedback helps me to get over it. I practice to speak slowly and applied differrnt methods to get over. If I did not got those feedback I belive I would never get over my flaws. Now I am able to speak properly and also able to talk to people confidently. A genuine feedback alwsys helps us to improve. Feedback is important for many reasons, including:
Motivation : Feedback can motivate employees to learn and improve their performance. It can also help employees understand how to improve and where they can do better.
Performance improvement: Feedback can help people improve their performance by identifying their strengths and weaknesses. It can also help people learn which actions cause problems for others and what changes might be needed.
Engagement: Feedback can increase engagement in a task. When employees know that their contributions are important, they are more likely to want to take control of achieving them.
Communication: Feedback is important for effective communication. It helps people understand how well their work is doing and if they are making progress.
Learning: Feedback is important for learning because it helps people stay aligned with their goals and prevents them from getting distracted.
Timeliness: Feedback is most accurate when it is given promptly, such as after a transaction when details are still fresh in people's memories.
Reacting to Feedback.
It is solely left on an individual's to react properly on their feedback. When we get positive feedback, we can react by:
- A simple "thank you" can show appreciation and keep the situation calm.
- Personalize our response and avoid copy and pasting the same message for every review.
- Respond to feedback as soon as possible.
- Consider what we did well and what we can improve on.
- Recognize the efforts of others who contributed to the success.
- Keep a record of the positive feedback.
- Continue doing what we are getting praised for.
Here are some ways to react to negative feedback:
- Give the feedback provider our full attention and avoid interrupting them.
- Thank the person for their feedback.
- Apologize if necessary.
- Summarize the feedback.
- Make a positive impact by taking action to address the feedback.
- Ask for more feedback and follow up.
- Receive feedback with a growth mindset.
- Avoid defensive tones and keep the focus professional.
- Describe specific actions you took to address the feedback.
I have seen at many places people asking for feedback, be it restaurant, trauns, hotels, banks etc. Esch of them wanted to get better with times. The best way of improvement is to focus on getting better through public reviews and feedback. This is why feedback is important. If you find any defects or flaws, do not hesitate to highlight and when you get any, make sure to accept it in positive way.
Peace!!
