Update on my Crypto Objectives for 2024

in #hive-1679226 months ago

Greetings, everyone!

This is the first update on my objectives for 2024, and the first snapshot of my progress after the first four months.

I started the year setting myself eight objectives on which I want to work as my focus for my Crypto adventure. In addition to these, an additional Key Result is monitoring the overall performance of my crypto portfolio. I know this is probably too much, nevertheless, I added two more objectives during the first part of the year:

Now, let me share some thoughts on the progress on the main items...

Hive Power

As a long-term believer in HIVE, there is no surprise that Hive Power is my first objective, right? I've set an ambitious goal, and despite a strong start in the first weeks, I'm already behind. My account power grew by more than 2000 HP this year.

LEO Power

InLeo is my main interface for writing articles on HIVE, and I'm constantly participating in the Leo Power Up Day events. Most of my LEO is bought on the Hive Engine, using earnings from alt-coins.

HBD

The 20% APR for staked HBD is amazing, and this is a nice instrument for savings. I desire to put aside 100 bucks each month, but today I'm way behind my goal. Initially, my focus was to improve my liquidity ratio, but as I wrote in a separate post, I was rewarded a monetary bonus at work, and I decided to shift that to crypto, and with this, I improved significantly my liquidity, and now I can move some of this in HBD.

SPS

In the first four months of 2024, I accelerated my stake in SPS by reinvesting all the earnings from the game. Now I'm not convinced that this was a smart idea, as the price for SPS is now only half of what it was at the beginning of the year. This month I will probably reach 100k stacked SPS, and I will start to redirect the earnings towards other objectives from my list.

Actifit rank

Well, this is my big disappointment so far. I love Actifit and I own a good stake in AFITX (their governance token). Real life is not easy with me this year, and I have plenty of issues to solve at work. Unfortunately, I can only notice now that I failed to take care of my physical condition. Something to change immediately!

Rising Star

This game entertained me a lot this year, and nice to discover how good was my prediction regarding my game progress. I'm not spending too many details on this, as I run a series of weekly statuses about my progress.

Curation

My curation rewards are bad, but I insist on manually curating the articles I like. I'm improving compared to last year, but there's still a long journey to complete before I can declare myself happy.

Two new objectives were added during the year: HSBI, as a source of passive income, and a decision to start a crypto trading account on Binance.

My strategy is to progress on all these objectives simultaneously, but I understand now that this has many limitations. Focusing on too many things easily goes in the direction of not focusing.

What about you guys? How often do you track your progress on your objectives?

Those are some good goals to have and progress is progress.

You can't really predict where prices will go so it's too bad to hear about the SPS price. Then again, Splinterlands has been making quite a few changes but they haven't really been attracting a lot of new users.

You’re doing very well
I think you need to work more on your curation rewards
Kudos!!!

Thanks! Yes indeed. Using auto-voters would be easy, but I prefer to keep myself involved, and manually curate content that resonates with my interests.
