This post is about the process and techniques used to create the product video for the Holographic and Mutation Sticker.
I have refined my production, foresight and techniques. In the past, it would’ve taken me three or four projects to create a video like this. This time I only used two projects to create this sticker video.
New Technique
My new favorite technique involves scrolling through the images with my phones screen capture/recording function activated. Remember how VCRs and televisions show rapid scrolling of the image? Pad tracking? I managed to replicate it.
Any type of screen capture recorded while my phone is in portrait mode fits nicely into the Tetrahedroseph television screen’s frame.

BTS
This video contains still images that have been animated. The grid image below shows the stills. I captured these images with my iPhone and a Styrofoam cooler. Remember my light box hack? I use a large Styrofoam cooler as a light box.
My phones photo gallery is enormous. There are many pictures from 2 to 3 years ago in my phones gallery. The images were captured a few years ago, so that I could have clean images on the stickers, merch page within Bandcamp. A photo gallery that is poorly organized, requires lots of scrolling to locate them. It becomes one of the most daunting and tedious parts of this creative process.
Pro Tip: Keep your images organized with folders and give them tags/labels if you can.
Only Two Projects
My computer's HD is nearly full still. I'm creating this video with iMove. This style has been working well and it's available and on my iPhone while I have down time.
The first project doesn’t have music yet. I just use it to consolidate the images I want to use. Usually, I start out with music so that I can sync the video edits with the rhythm of the song.
For the second project, I added the television screen frame, and the music. Check out the images below.
The Music
This holographic sticker features the album cover for “Mutation.” The song used in this sticker’s video comes from the instrumental version of the album. The song is called, “Rude Immunity Slow Bug Inst - Remix” and the album is called, “Mutation Instrumentals.”
