We took a fall hike up to Lenny's Lookout. It was a beautiful day here 60F and sunny. We won't get many more of those before winter.
Lenny's Lookout is a short hike from a parking area near Branbury State Park.
You can also take a trail from Goshen which starts above Silver Lake and avoids most of the climb. Here's a link for the Story of Lenny's Lookout
The hike is about 1.5 miles up from Lake Dunmore to Silver Lake, then about a quarter mile along this power line cut to Lenny's Lookout. We did it in about 30 minutes so its not too bad. Lenny's Lookout is in the Green Mountains a part of Moosalamoo National Recreation Area - Addison County, Vermont.
We arrived about an hour before sunset and were looking straight west so the lighting was challenging. The view was still spectacular. You can see Lake Dunmore below and then all the way across the Champlain Valley to the Adirondack Mountains in New York.
As many of you know, I live near Lake Dunmore. We spent some time trying to figure out exactly where from this view 🤔 lol
I highly recommend this hike. Its an easy hike with a nice payoff. Thanks for checking out my post 👍 Have a great Friday!
