Last saturday, my work team had planned a team bonding session. I have been experiencing such a shitty week and month. Fatigue coupled with mental exhaustion took a toll on me. I knew I needed a leave/vacation to relax and unwind, but where it was going to come from, I had no idea. It's funny how your mental health has such a great effect on your physical well-being. Anyhoo, I was looking forward to the team bonding, but I almost did not make it as I had someone over.
I finally made it to the venue and what a beautiful location it was. The scenery was superb. I was tasked with MC'in the event (which I didn't want to), and I tried to manage it well enough. I thought of some games and activities to get everyone together. I was able to also initiate and manage a beach soccer match between two teams, with the ladies. Albeit I was labelled as 'biased' but I think everyone had fun. We also had a tug-of-war and boy was that something, xD.
Some part of the beach shores was rocky, and barricaded with wood to avoid accidentally wandering over. The beach had a bar, and stall for drinks and refreshments. Then on another part to the shores, there were various booths for different visitors. There were also seats across the waters. Pretty cool spot. I did also spot a huge vessel moving across the waters. Engineering is an incredible field.
I also tested the waters and went shore. Water is such a powerful phenomenon. The sound of the waves was incredibly chilling. As I went farther and farther, it seemed as if the waters was pulling me. As simple and refreshing as it seemed, it was pretty scary. I had quite the experience. Lots of food and lots of fun.
