My journey yesterday was filled with a whole lot. It's not the first time I'm following this transport company on my journey from the southeastern part of the country to the Northern part. I have had very ugly experiences with several companies which made me to decide that I won't follow any transport company that won't offer me enough comfort on my journey. But as you know well, comfort is luxury hehe, and given the economic state of the nation now, not many can spend so much on domestic flight these days.
Alot can be said about traveling, most important is the experience that comes with it, but even more important is your comfort as a traveler. Especially if you're going on a long distance journey that requires you sitting for long hours.
As I arrived the motor pack yesterday, I immediately went to my favourite transport company to board a bus but on reaching there, I discovered that price has skyrocketed due to recent increase in price of fuel, I decided to try another company that one of the boys,(agberoes or touts as they are popularly called) suggested to me.
When I got to the pack, I saw the ash coloured new Hummer Bus packed at the front I asked the guy selling the ticket how much they sell ticket to my destination, he said 10k naira. That's really cheap compared to the previous place I just came from. I asked again just to be sure he knows where I'm going to and he replied with the same answer. I quickly transferred the money and got my ticket before it finishes as many other people were trooping into the park.
My joy of getting a good bus at that rate didn't last long. Before I knew what was going on, the Hummer Bus left the pack and they brought a 30 seaters long coaster bus. Hehehe I couldn't believe my eyes, I've just been scammed by the company.
The guy packing people's load inside the coaster started telling us to bring our bag and baggages inside so he would arrange them. Many passengers began to protest "we paid for Hummer Bus not coaster."
All our protesting and plea proved abortive as the company had a no refund policy after payment.

Long story cut short, we traveled from Enugu Nigeria to Abuja the capital of Nigeria with a coaster bus hehe. It wasn't a funny experience. A journey of six hours maximum turned into a twelve hours journey, we left the pack by 8:00am and arrived by 8pm in the night.
Funny enough, the journey wasn't tedious in any way. You know that moment when everyone in your bus is angry, at some point a passenger will just release one random comment that will make everyone burst into laughter. I could remember one of the passenger saying he wouldn't allow even his enemy to join that transport company ever talk more of him following them ever again.
Another man behind me continued to call all his family members to tell them that if anything happened to him on the road they should hold the company responsible hehe. The height of laughter came when one woman by my right side wanted to buy okpa, to eat as she was already frustrated and hungry from the journey, but when she gave the person selling okpa the money through the window, the driver drove off and she didn't get her okpa. On that happening she shouted "heyyy !! So after scamming me and collecting my money, you people want to starve me to death inside this long bus that runs like a snail" Referring to the driver and the company.
At one point when everywhere was so quiet inside the bus, another passenger loudly asked the woman that was already angry for not collecting her okpa, "mummy you're no more happy, did the okpa spoil your mind ?" Everyone burst into laughter and before you know it the bus was bubbling with voices here and there, everyone happy and chatting as we traveled.
On reaching my destination, I rested after a refreshing bath and dinner. Although I was tired, I had a refreshing sleep.
You see sometimes life doesn't go how we plan, sometimes we get things different from what we asked for. But we should always look at the brighter , have fun, create those ideal moments and chose rather to focus on the good part while we remain happy along the way.
Thank you for reading through ❤️.
