Today we wake up early because we had booked the visit to the Royal Alcazar of Seville. This is one of the most famous attraction of the city and we choose the first turn in the morning to have all time we want to visit.
The Alcazar was a fortress and also a royal palace. It has been built in different ages and had different architectural and artistic style. I think it's amazing how Muslim, neoclassic and renaissance styles could live with one near each other.
A must of the tour are the gardens that are as much big as the palace. Unlikely the weather wasn't good to fully appreciate them.
The second highlight was the Cathedral of Seville. It' a gothic style church extremely tall and the third biggest in the world after San Pietro in Vatican City and Saint Paul in London.
You feel very small and insignificant when you enter. And the carvings on the roof and the walls are simply amazing. Here you can find a little treasure. The tomb of Cristoforo Colombo who discover the new world. I admit that I remain impressed when I saw it.
We also see other palaces today but maybe I will tell you more next time. Now it's late and I'm going bed!
Good night!
