Our London derby against Arsenal comes on Saturday. Prior to tomorrow's Premier League matchup with Arsenal, Mauricio Pochettino gave an update to the media regarding the health of a few players in his team who he hopes will recover from injuries in time to play the Gunners at Stamford Bridge.

History of Chelsea Arsenal

However, our head coach acknowledges that there are still choices to be made regarding a number of players' availability for this weekend due to the short amount of time between the end of the international break and our next game on the training ground. Pochettino said, "I think we need to assess now as we finished the training session a little bit late." It is necessary to evaluate Axel Disasi, Nico Jackson, and Reece James.

Reece has been working hard over the past few days. He will now discuss his status with the medical staff and other team members before determining whether or not to join the squad tomorrow. Armando Broja is not playing due of a minor annoyance with his other knee, not the one that has caused him trouble in the past. We need to evaluate a couple guys to see if they can play, be on the bench, or be available tomorrow. Benoit Badiashile might be able to make it to the game as well.

He did, however, clarify that Moises Caicedo and Enzo Fernandez, who were the final foreign players to return to Cobham after their trip to South America, are certain to be involved without any issues. It was Enzo's training day. Caicedo came yesterday afternoon, was examined by the doctor, and was found to be in excellent health. They both worked out with the group today with us, and I believe they are prepared.

Pochettino also talked about Malo Gusto, the right-back who earned his senior international debut for France last week. After serving a three-match suspension for his sending-off in our most recent home league game against Aston Villa, Gusto is once again available for selection for Chelsea. Although he is really young, he has a lot of talent, so maybe tomorrow he will get the chance to play, our head coach continued. It's challenging to make a judgement because a 19-year-old who moves from a foreign league, like France, must adjust to a new team, a winning club like Chelsea. It's about winning, not just about playing football or competing. It's challenging to work on a project with such young participants and under these conditions. But we genuinely do believe in him, which makes me very pleased. He will undoubtedly require time, but I am confident that he will perform as we truly believe. Even though he is only 20 years old, I am overjoyed. When he was given the red card, I wasn't pleased. I believe it wasn't a red card, and I found the VAR decision to be absurd when I viewed it afterwards. But there's no doubt that he will benefit the team.

Along with the team news, Pochettino discussed the end of the most recent international break. He acknowledged that it came at an inconvenient time as we were starting to build a run of form with three straight wins across all competitions, but he is hoping the Blues can resume where they left off in the 4-1 victory at Burnley. Eighty percent of the squad was sidelined, along with a few injured players, but overall, I believe it was a good thing because following the international, we spent over thirty minutes in meetings and training, attempting to get the game ready for tomorrow. This is because we only had players in the squad available today.
