Hola, espero estén teniendo un hermoso día. Hoy quiero compartir con ustedes algo que me emociona demasiado, recientemente asistí a un curso básico profesional de maquillaje, dictado por la increíblemente talentosa Gaby Blanco Makeup. Una experiencia maravillosa que tuvo lugar en la ciudad de Maturín, el día 27 de marzo. Específicamente en la sede principal de Cosmo Chic, ubicada en la Avenida Bicentenario frente al Banco de Venezuela.
Hi, I hope you are having a beautiful day. Today I want to share with you something that excites me too much, I recently attended a basic professional makeup course, taught by the incredibly talented Gaby Blanco Makeup. A wonderful experience that took place in the city of Maturín, on March 27th. Specifically at the Cosmo Chic headquarters, located on Avenida Bicentenario in front of the Banco de Venezuela.
¿Por dónde empiezo? Bueno, vi el flyer del curso en Instagram y fue algo que realmente llamó mucho mi atención, por lo que guardé la publicación. Yo tenía mis reservas porque si bien el maquillaje forma parte de mis intereses, no estaba segura de si era el momento adecuado para ir más allá. Unos días más tarde, vuelvo a ver en esta misma app contenido relacionado con el curso, el caso es que ya no quedaba mucho y mi reacción ante esto, me permitió ver que era algo que quería hacer más de lo que creía. Seguía algo indecisa pero luego de hacer un par de cosas, pregunté si aún tenían cupos disponibles... En ese momento no tenían pero existía la posiblidad de que abrieran dos más al día siguiente, estuve muy al pendiente y finalmente, en su Master Class gratuita de corte de cuenca... Gaby dió la noticia de que habían abierto dos cupos más.
Where do I start? Well, I saw the flyer of the course on Instagram and it was something that really caught my attention a lot, so I saved the post. I had my reservations because while makeup is part of my interests, I wasn't sure if it was the right time to go further. A few days later, I see again in this same app content related to the course, the thing is that there was not much left and my reaction to this, allowed me to see that it was something I wanted to do more than I thought. I was still a little hesitant but after doing a couple of things, I asked if they still had places available... At that moment they didn't have any but there was a possibility that they would open two more the next day, I was very attentive and finally, in their free Master Class of cut crease... Gaby gave the news that they had opened two more slots.
Me salí del Live un momento para comunicarme con los de Cosmo Chic y fue así como conseguí entrar a este fascinante curso. Me añadieron a un grupo en el que pasaron toda la información pertinente y a su vez, nos dieron la oportunidad de hacer cualquier consulta, en caso de ser necesaria. Los días fueron transcurriendo y mi emoción era cada vez más grande. El día miércoles 23 de marzo, fui por primera vez a Cosmo Chic para una asesoría en compras que Gaby Blanco daría ese día. Llegué 10 minutos antes de la hora pautada y admito que al ver los productos, me sentí algo intimidada... Eran un montón de marcas, colores, presentaciones y yo no conocía casi nada del tema, me sentía un tanto fuera de lugar. Empecé pidiendo hidratantes para los labios y agua micelar para ir adelantando, aproveché para ver el precio de algunos productos que me llamaron la atención, hasta que empezó la asesoría.
I left the Live for a moment to communicate with Cosmo Chic and that's how I got into this fascinating course. They added me to a group where they gave me all the pertinent information and gave us the opportunity to ask any questions, if necessary. The days went by and my excitement was growing. On Wednesday, March 23, I went to Cosmo Chic for the first time for a shopping consultation that Gaby Blanco would give that day. I arrived 10 minutes before the scheduled time and I admit that when I saw the products, I felt a bit intimidated.... There were a lot of brands, colors, presentations and I knew almost nothing about the subject, I felt a little out of place. I started asking for lip moisturizers and micellar water to get a head start, I took the opportunity to see the price of some products that caught my attention, until the consultation began.
Yo fui muy sincera desde el inicio, Gaby fue super amable y comprensiva, me hizo sentir súper cómoda. Me mostró varios de los productos que necesitaba, hicimos todas las pruebas necesarias y luego de un buen rato, compré unas cuantas cosas que les mostraré en otro post porque si no, este será eterno. El caso es que la asesoría fue genial, me gustó mucho y quedé gratamente complacida con la atención que brindan en Cosmo Chic, algo que también me gustó un montón es que entre los métodos de pago tienen Binance y pagar con esa aplicación es extremadamente fácil, es uno de mis métodos de pagos favoritos.
I was very sincere from the beginning, Gaby was super friendly and understanding, she made me feel very comfortable. She showed me several of the products I needed, we did all the necessary tests and after a good while, I bought a few things that I will show you in another post because if not, this one will be eternal. The thing is that the advice was great, I liked it a lot and I was pleased with the attention they provide in Cosmo Chic, something that I also liked a lot is that among the payment methods they have Binance and paying with that application is extremely easy, it is one of my favorite payment methods.
Volví a casa radiante, feliz con mi compra... No veía la hora de que llegara el día del curso. Para mí esto fue más que un simple curso de maquillaje, realmente fue una experiencia que me ayudó en muchos sentidos. Yo tengo una situación médica bastante delicada y últimamente no me he sentido bien físicamente pero todo el asunto del curso, me dió la oportunidad de ir detrás de algo que quería, más allá de mis problemas médicos. Esto me hizo sentir extremadamente feliz y orgullosa, lograr hacer lo que quiero independientemente de los obstáculos en el camino... Fue fabuloso.
I went back home beaming, happy with my purchase.... I couldn't wait for the day of the course. For me this was more than just a makeup course, it was really an experience that helped me in many ways. I have a very delicate medical situation and lately I haven't been feeling well physically but the whole course thing gave me the opportunity to go after something I wanted, beyond my medical problems. It made me feel extremely happy and proud, to be able to do what I want regardless of the obstacles in the way.... It was fabulous.
Me hizo sentir dueña de mi vida y de mis decisiones, no el ser limitado que no logra hacer nada debido a su pésima salud... Una de mis luchas más grandes es justamente esto, no sentirme de esta manera tan frustrante e injusta. Digamos que estos días han estado llenos de una genial actitud y una terrible salud, algo que representa un gran avance para mí. Habitualmente, me resulta una labor titánica evitar que mis problemas de salud dañen todo lo demás y en esta oportunidad, logré conseguirlo.
It made me feel in control of my life and my decisions, not the limited being who doesn't get anything done due to poor health.... One of my biggest struggles is just this, not to feel this way so frustrating and unfair. Let's just say that these days have been filled with a great attitude and terrible health, which is a huge breakthrough for me. Usually, I find it a titanic task to keep my health problems from damaging everything else, and this time, I managed to do it.
Volviendo al curso, los días previos preparé todo lo necesario y la espera que parecía eterna, finalmente terminó. Llegó el gran día y podrán imaginar la cantidad de emociones encontradas que tenía, era una mezcla de felicidad, ansias, orgullo, incertidumbre... Y así sucesivamente. Sonó la alarma, me preparé, comí, tomé mis cosas y esperé a que mi padre viniera a buscarme. Unos minutos más tarde, llegué a Cosmo Chic para un día lleno de sorpresas. Entré y lo que mis ojos vieron, fue hermoso, la decoración era simplemente espectacular. Esa mezcla entre tonos morados y esos preciosos girasoles, fue increíble porque justamente son mi color y flor favorita... En resumen, mejor imposible.
Going back to the course, the previous days I prepared everything I needed and the wait that seemed eternal, finally ended. The big day arrived and you can imagine the amount of mixed emotions I had, it was a mix of happiness, anxiety, pride, uncertainty.... And so on. The alarm went off, I got ready, ate, took my things and waited for my father to come and pick me up. A few minutes later, I arrived at Cosmo Chic for a day full of surprises. I walked in and what my eyes saw was beautiful, the decoration was simply spectacular. That mix between purple tones and those beautiful sunflowers, was incredible because they are my favorite color and flower.... In short, it couldn't have been better.
Verificaron mi nombre, me indicaron cual era mi área de trabajo y fui hacia ella. Luego fueron llamando una a una a las participantes, para seleccionar los tonos del kit de productos que incluía el curso. Cuando me llamaron me sentí súper bien y súper cómoda porque justo me asesoró, la chica que me atendió el día miércoles 23 así que por ese lado, todo chévere. Volví a mí asiento, me llevaron una botella de agua.
They checked my name, told me which was my work area and I went to it. Then they called the participants one by one, to select the shades of the product kit included in the course. When they called me I felt very good and very comfortable because the girl who assisted me on Wednesday 23rd advised me, so on that side, everything was great. I went back to my seat, they brought me a bottle of water.
Eventualmente se hicieron las 10:00am e inició la animación del evento, de la mano de Anahys Zapata. Muy buena conductora y una persona muy amable, he de agregar. Ella presentó a Gaby y unos minutos más tarde, empezó el curso. Ella comenzó explicando todo el tema de los tipos de piel, los tonos y subtonos de la misma. Iniciamos con el proceso de skincare y una vez listo, lo primero que maquillamos, fueron nuestras cejas. Gaby mostró y explicó más de un método, haciendo uso de uno de los productos que incluía el kit. Esa era la primera vez que iniciaba mi maquillaje con las cejas y fue un poquito raro pero todo tiene su razón de ser.
Eventually it was 10:00am and Anahys Zapata was the host of the event. She was a very good hostess and a very nice person, I must add. She introduced Gaby and a few minutes later, the course started. She started explaining the whole topic of skin types, skin tones and undertones. We started with the skincare process and once ready, the first thing we did was our eyebrows. Gaby showed and explained more than one method, making use of one of the products included in the kit. This was the first time I started my makeup with my eyebrows and it was a little weird but everything has its reason to be.
Pasamos a los ojos, los cuales me encantaron total y absolutamente, fue un método con el cual obtuvimos un resultado hermoso. En este punto, recibí unos cuantos consejos de Mj Beauty, una de la invitadas especiales, ella me mostró la manera correcta de difuminar los tonos de las sombras y una manera de aplicar el shimmer para que pigmente muchísimo.
We moved on to the eyes, which I absolutely loved, it was a method with which we got a beautiful result. At this point, I received a few tips from Mj Beauty, one of the special guests, she showed me the right way to blend the shadows and a way to apply the shimmer so that it pigments a lot.
Siguiendo con las invitadas especiales de ese día, Fanxy Beauty me enseñó a aplicar el contorno correctamente y me recordó todas las veces que fueron necesarias, lo importante que es el difuminado y de verdad que la clave de un buen maquillaje, más allá de la preparación de la piel, es sin duda el difuminado. Es el secreto para pasar de una mancha a una aplicación súper natural y bella de cada uno de los productos.
Continuing with the special guests of the day, Fanxy Beauty taught me how to apply the contour correctly and reminded me as many times as necessary, how important is the blending and really the key to a good makeup, beyond the preparation of the skin, is undoubtedly the blending. It is the secret to go from a smudge to a super natural and beautiful application of each of the products.
Luego Glam by Mel, ella se acercó a mí en el momento justo y me ayudó un montón con el maquillaje del área de la nariz. Porque resulta que mi piel absorbe los pigmentos extremadamente rápido y además, muchos de los tonos que aplicaba... Terminaban viéndose rojizos, en contraste con mi tono de piel. De verdad, se quedó ahí conmigo el tiempo que fue necesario, hasta obtener el mejor resultado posible. Volviendo a Gaby, ella también dijo presente en este momento y de verdad, hizo algo que marcó el antes y el después con todo el tema de mi nariz.
Then Glam by Mel, she came to me at just the right time and helped me a lot with my nose area makeup. Because it turns out that my skin absorbs pigments extremely fast and also, a lot of the shades I was applying.... They ended up looking reddish, in contrast to my skin tone. Really, she stayed there with me for as long as it took, until I got the best possible result. Going back to Gaby, she was also present at this moment and she really did something that marked the before and after with the whole issue of my nose.
Fue una experiencia maravillosa, que tantas mujeres talentosas estuvieran ahí compartiendo sus trucos, habilidades, conocimientos y destrezas. Realmente fue un curso demasiado completo y profesional. La atención que brindan constantemente en Cosmo Chic, es una cosa única, algo que no había visto en otro lugar. Parecen una gran familia y te tratan como a un miembro más de ella, fue increíble experimentar eso. Creo no soy la única persona a la que le ha pasado lo siguiente, llegar a una tienda y muchas veces ser ignorada o tratada de mala gana... Que prácticamente hace falta estar detrás de los vendedores para que te atiendan y eso no debería ser así, eso es algo que deja mucho que desear pero lamentablemente se ha vuelto lo más común del mundo.
It was a wonderful experience, that so many talented women were there sharing their tricks, skills, knowledge and abilities. It was really a very complete and professional course. The attention they constantly give at Cosmo Chic is something unique, something I haven't seen anywhere else. They seem like a big family and they treat you like a member of it, it was amazing to experience that. I think I'm not the only person who has experienced the following, arriving at a store and many times being ignored or treated reluctantly.... That you practically have to be behind the salespeople to be served and that should not be so, that is something that leaves much to be desired but unfortunately it has become the most common thing in the world.
Por esta y más razones, me alegra poder decir que en Cosmo Chic, la atención está en otro nivel, en el mejor de los sentidos posibles. Ellos logran que te sientas súper a gusto, antes de que puedas siquiera notarlo. Es maravilloso, es un ambiente espléndido y muy bonito. Ojalá en un futuro no muy lejano, encuentre más lugares con este tipo de ambiente.
For this and more reasons, I am happy to say that in Cosmo Chic, the attention is on another level, in the best possible sense. They make you feel super comfortable before you even notice it. It's wonderful, it's a splendid and very nice environment. Hopefully in the not too distant future, I will find more places with this kind of atmosphere.
Siguiendo con todo lo que el curso ofreció, quiero hablar de los patrocinantes. Ellos se lucieron de verdad, nos brindaron un almuerzo digno de recordar. Este constó de un mini perro caliente y una mini hamburguesa, que estaban buenísimas, gracias Tobias Burger. Unas horas más tarde, nos dieron una rebanada de torta de oreo y un cupcake... Dios mío, no logro superar esa torta pero para mí desgracia, no sé quién la hizo pero buscaré la manera de averiguarlo.
Continuing with all that the course had to offer, I want to talk about the sponsors. They really showed off, they gave us a lunch worth remembering. It consisted of a mini hot dog and a mini hamburger, which were delicious, thanks Tobias Burger. A few hours later, we were treated to a slice of oreo cake and a cupcake... My God, I can't get over that cake but to my disgrace, I don't know who made it but I will look into finding out.
También nos dieron unos recuerditos de Deliciosisimos Sweet, eran cuatro dulces diferentes, cada uno tenía un encanto distinto pero yo tengo claro cuál fue mi favorito, aquí les dejó unas fotos para que vean. Estaban muy buenos, les recomiendo sobretodo el que tenía una cubierta de chocolate y chispas de colores encima. Si viven en la ciudad de Maturín o tiene pensado venir, aquí tienen algunas de mis recomendaciones. Se los digo sinceramente, yo soy no soy fácil de complacer cuando de comida se trata, me gustan muy pocas cosas.
They also gave us some souvenirs from Deliciosisimos Sweet, they were four different candies, each one had a different charm but I have clear which one was my favorite, here are some pictures for you to see. They were very good, I recommend especially the one with a chocolate coating and colored sprinkles on top. If you live in the city of Maturín or are planning to come, here are some of my recommendations. I tell you sincerely, I am not easy to please when it comes to food, I like very few things.
También habían algunos dulces de Choco Tortas, yo probé unas galletas y me gustaron. Otro de los patrocinantes, brindó una cena para dos, hicieron un sorteo entre las doce chicas que participamos en el curso y como podrán notar, no fui la afortunada ganadora pero puedo decir que esas hamburguesas y papas fritas, son lo máximo. Burger House Gourmet es mi sitio favorito de hamburguesas, la de pollo es espectacular y las papas son riquísimas.
There were also some sweets from Choco Tortas, I tried some cookies and I liked them. Another sponsor offered a dinner for two, they did a raffle among the twelve girls who participated in the course and as you may notice, I was not the lucky winner but I can say that those burgers and fries are the best. Burger House Gourmet is my favorite burger place, the chicken burger is spectacular and the fries are delicious.
Y ya que hablo de premios, durante el curso hicieron unos sorteos y unas preguntas para así obsequiar varios productos muy chéveres. Yo respondí rápida y correctamente una de las preguntas, así fue como gané una crema para manos súper linda. Tiene un olor bastante agradable pero desafortunadamente, soy alérgica a uno de los componentes por lo que no puedo usarla. Me di cuenta cuando llegué a casa y me tomé el tiempo de leer la composición, admito que me decepcioné un poco pero luego lo vi desde otro punto de vista y se me pasó. Se la regalé a mi mamá, lo cual me hace un poco de gracia porque cuando le dije que había ganado algo, ella me dijo en modo de broma "cualquier cosa, me lo das" y bueno, así fue.
And while I'm on the subject of prizes, during the course there were some raffles and questions to give away some very cool products. I quickly and correctly answered one of the questions and that's how I won a super nice hand cream. It has a very nice smell but unfortunately, I'm allergic to one of the ingredients so I can't use it. I noticed it when I got home and took the time to read the composition, I admit I was a little disappointed but then I looked at it from another point of view and got over it. I gave it to my mom, which makes me a little funny because when I told her I had won something, she jokingly said "anything, you give it to me" and well, I did.
El lado positivo es que, si veo que es buena y me gusta. Puedo comprar una que no me de alergia y listo. Creo que en este punto, logré expresar bastante bien lo que representó para mí toda esta experiencia y a su vez, dije más o menos, lo que ocurrió. Todo fue muy chévere y les digo en serio, si tienen la oportunidad de hacer un curso con Gaby Blanco Makeup, háganlo, de verdad. Para mí, esto marcó una diferencia abismal en más de un sentido. Así que prepárense porque de mi parte, verán un incremento en el contenido de maquillaje.
On the plus side, if I see that it's good and I like it. I can buy one that doesn't give me allergies and that's it. I think at this point, I managed to express pretty well what this whole experience represented for me and in turn, I said more or less, what happened. It was all very cool and I tell you seriously, if you have the opportunity to take a course with Gaby Blanco Makeup, do it, really. For me, it made a world of difference in more ways than one. So get ready because from me, you will see an increase in makeup content.
