Crimsonclad joins WOO team

Bookerman has posted this week on Discord that the WOO team is currently hiring UX designers. Hiring post here.

Minutes after the post, Crimsonclad showed interest and was hired on the spot. She will be the one leading the UX team.

Land Pack Probabilities Revealed

As previously announced, lands will each have three stats: population, fanbase, and wealth. Every stat can have one, two, or three stars resulting in 27 possible stat combinations with 9-star lands being the highest possible result.

There will only be a 2% chance to pull a 9-star land. There is a high chance to get a 5 or 6-star land.

The team may implement a quick buy button during land sale with an option of buying 1, 5, 25, or 100 packs per transaction.

Twitch AMA (January 14, 2023)

Note: This is not an official summary and I may misinterpret some parts of the discussion. I included timestamps if you want to check out the actual conversation on Twitch.

Matchmaking - 0:44:03
During gameplay, players will be paired depending on their win-loss record. A player who keeps on winning with only level one cards will eventually need to upgrade their assets as they will soon encounter opponents with leveled cards.

Matchmaking will not be similar to Splinterlands where you need to build up collection power to advance in different tiers. There will be one overall ranking.

Staff Cards - 0:46:59
Staff cards will increase the efficiency of a city's venue.

Venue Capacity and Attendees - 0:46:20
A venue's max capacity does not determine the number of attendees that will watch a show. Factors that may affect these numbers include the type of NFT used, promotional work being done, etc. A venue can also exceed its max capacity depending on said factors.

More people will attend if there are NFT championships, or if a gold belt wrestler is used. In the future, alpha cards will also draw more people than newer set edition NFTs.

Lore Cards - 0:48:27
Lore cards will also provide an increase in the number of attendees if specific wrestler types (high-flyer, powerhouse, etc.) are used.

Booker has once again stated that bonuses that require NFT burning will be more significant than the ones that only require NFT staking.

Ivan Schiester and Speed stat - 0:54:37
Ivan Schiester increases a wrestler's speed. Speed is important because it decides if a wrestler can hit its finisher first or whether it can evade an enemy's finisher.

Ryker Voigt - 0:55:40
Ryker is the only card that unlocks a submission move at move 1. Submissions prevent opponents from doing their next move.

Perry Saturn - 0:55:55
Perry also unlocks a move 1 win condition but it's not a submission.

Common Cards - 0:56:28
Although commons are capped at level three, the abilities that they unlock are good.

Beta Edition - 0:58:21
Some tag teams from Alpha edition may split up and be single wrestlers, singles becoming tag teams, managers becoming wrestlers and vice versa. Some may also have gimmick changes having different looks, attitude, and name. There will also be completely new wrestlers included.

There will be fewer overall wrestlers in Beta edition but there will be more packs. The mint numbers will be greater than the individual cards from Alpha.

Gears might also be introduced in the Beta edition. There is a possibility of having reward packs for Beta edition which will include a new partner wrestler and gears.

Wrestler Finishers - 01:07:29
There are two types of finishers. It can either be a pinfall or a submission finisher. Perry Saturn's finisher, Rings of Saturn, is a submission finisher.

Land Stuff
No Token Airdrop - 01:09:50
There's a chance that land packs will not be included in the token airdrop due to it already having a high value.

No Reward Packs - 01:22:40
There will also be no reward packs given during land sale. Booker also mentioned that the land sale, being a whitelisted event, will have a bad look if it provides further bonus to this exclusive sale.

A final decision for both land token airdrop and reward pack will be made during the staff meaning on January 22nd.

Land Upgrades - 01:33:17
Land upgrades will not be available during presale. It will be unlocked once the game goes live.

Packs Readily Available - 01:25:18
Booker is leaning towards having land packs available right away to presale buyers instead of waiting for it to be sold out or general sale.

WOO Controlled Territory - 01:35:00
A few lands owned by the WOO team may have small starting upgrades to kick-off upgrade competition between land holders.

New Partners Update - 01:11:03
The team has already made an agreement with Terri Runnels and another former WCW wrestler. It is still being decided where and when their NFTs will be dropped.

Perry and Raven tag team card - 01:11:44
Raven and Perry Saturn might be released as a tag team in the Beta edition.

Updated Roadmap - 01:12:07
Bookerman intends to release an updated roadmap by the end of the month.

Daily Rewards - 01:36:43
There will be daily quests in the game. Some examples that Booker provided are travelling to a territory with a specific type of venue, running a show in a specific venue, run five events, etc.

WOOBucks - 01:44:00
WOO will introduce an in-game currency called WOOBucks that can be acquired in exchange for fiat currency. This is a non-tradeable, non-refundable currency similar to other games such as Roblox's Robux or Fortnite's V-Bucks.
