Midnight Gloom
I travel this night, body weary and dreary
Longing for the warmth of my humble sanctuary
As the whispers of cold dry wind blows
Through the pavement another footstep follows
And as I looked back to where I once was
A blade dictates what will come to pass
So I lay here now on this bed of cobblestone
Thinking of the sins I can no longer atone
Did I ever had a worthwhile living
Has my life ever had any meaning?
