Garlic, Cinnamon Plantains Cookie’s 🍪🧄

Happy Evening everyone. How are we all doing with activities lovely plantpowervegan family? Wishing everyone good health as I join you all again today with some healthy recipe of plantains I made.

My todays recipe has plantains as its base but to it I have added some grated garlic 🧄, cinnamon powder, corn 🌽 starch and a little bit of flour experimenting to see if it will turn out just the way I wanted it. Crispy Plantain Cookies full of garlic and cinnamon flavors.

I love plantains a lot both ripe and unripe and will want to try it out in many recipes because in my country plantains are seasonal from late November of every year to early February. And it will disappear making the ones around so expensive. I feel so good enjoying this season of plantains as I try them out and share the process with you all.

Here I will show you how I prepared this lovely plantains snacks that is so ideal for after lunch tea time.

INGREDIENTS:

1 large half way ripe plantain
5 teaspoon of corn starch
4 teaspoon of all purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon of black pepper powder
1/4 teaspoon of sea salt
4 cloves of garlic 🧄 (grated)
1 teaspoon of cinnamon powder

STEPS FOR PREPARATION

Step 1.

To begin I will first wash, cut open and slice the plantains in rounds.

Step 2.

I will clean and grate the garlic to keep ready.

Next is to mix the corn starch, adding the flour, the black pepper and salt,

Adding too the cinnamon and grated garlic. Then will mix to integrate them all.

Step 5.

I will add the sliced plantains into the corn starch flour mixture and stir them thoroughly allowing the plantains to stick to the mixture..

Added a little sprinkle of water for proper absorption.

I will glaze the baking pan and will one by one place the the plantains on the the pan to take it into the preheated oven to bake for 35 minutes for good result.

Once one side turns golden, I will turn the other part to b bake as well. And gradually it all baked to taste.

This is an interesting recipe. It exactly came out the way I expected it. Tasting crunchy with lovely aroma of garlic and cinnamon. My tea 🍵 time snacks just got better with this cookies 🍪😀
