Happy weekend friends š„°š!
Going back in time which takes us to past events through history to alter things and do them better for the sack of mistakes done in the past, or seeing ourselves trying to predict the future to know what we might encounter is what āTime Travel ā is all about. This is a wish many desires but a thing I see as a two-side-coin because one thing definitely leads to another.
One thing with Time Travel š§ is that we donāt know how things would have worked out if we had done it the other way round because change has continued to determine how things are supposed to turn out, this is why the change we might have brought may be better or worse.
The situation the citizens are going through in my country, Nigeria š³š¬ , in this current time is one that no one expected because everyone believes that after our country gained independence from the colonial masters and things was good through the days of our forefathers, we are not supposed to be going through hard times after so many years.
I remembered vividly how good this country use to be while I was growing up. Then going back to school my parents will buy lots of provisions for me with just few Naira . And foodstuffs use to be so cheap because our money š° The Nigeria Currency š“ use to worth a lot compared to dollars šµ. Many families were always happy because they can feed and fend for their loved š„° ones. Things has drastically changed so much after power has changed in the hands of our corrupt leaders. And the worst of it all being many families who had many children not knowing that things will be so bad after years, are the ones suffering it most.
Although, our pre-colonial forefathers was happy fighting to achieve independence because they believed it will change lots of things for good but they never would have believed that after many years they were gone, our country Nigeria š³š¬ is being plunged into disaster by those whose interest are only on how to acquire for themselves.
For me I believe everything happens for a reason beyond our control. iWhether we go back in time to change things for better output or tries to foresee the future to prevent happenings are both unpredictable. We might hope to have done it better if we are in position but still may not have achieved it.
Going back in time, I would have loved my country to have taken agriculture so seriously because that was what the British saw that attracted them so much to my country. Then my country Nigeria š³š¬ had so much cocoa, Timber, cotton, palm kernel, crude oil and lots more. These are what the British saw and so much money š° was involved. Although the Independence helped us have control our nation but was not managed well after many years. And these things were what sustained our pre-colonial forefathers during their time. Making the country rich then and made our currency š“ Naira to have more worth. But because of how these sources of generating National Income was not well managed, everything was turned upside down which has caused so much damages to Nigeriaās š³š¬ economy.
However, as time went by, my country forgot agriculture š©āš¾ totally depending fully only on crude oil which only those in power has made their means of livelihood. And others into white collar jobs are also struggling to keep up the pace with lifestyle. Importation by those who choose businesses as a means for survival started a toll on our currency š“. This situation is a thing that is caused by change through awareness and civilization but one that is beyond our control because time must evolve change.
And since I do not have the power of knowing how things would have turned out either by going back to change past events or delve into the future to predict things, I would rather prefer to let things be the way they are because the world š is full of uncertainties. Those who have also try to change things have continued on the quest , as one thing leads to another. We as individuals will continue to search for answers of why we need to do things right especially at the right time to avoid regrets when things go wrong š
