Good afternoon, today I'm here to talk to you not about a movie but about what the movie contains that makes it unique on a musical level, but for them I have to tell you what the movie is about.

So let's start.

The Blues Brothers

The film tells the story of two rascals and musicians, the Blues brothers, Jake (John Belushi) and Elwood (Dan Aykroyd). Both have a mission from God and it is to pay the 5000 dollars in taxes owed by the orphanage where they grew up, and they plan to reunite their band of musicians to get it, and they will stop at nothing and no one. During the course of the film they face police chases and absurd situations and all just to reunite the band and be able to play together again, for this they have to find him and convince him and it will not be an easy task.

The Blues Brothers' gems

  • Aretha Franklin is the wife of one of the musicians, specifically Matt "Guitar" Murphy, who is the guitarist of the brothers' band and in this scene that I love, she sings the song "Think"

  • Ray Charles is the owner of a musical instrument store which the brothers want to buy and they tell the owner that everything is in bad condition, in this scene he performs the song "Shake a Tail Feather"

  • James Brown, in this scene the brothers go to a church in search of redemption since they have not yet gotten the money, in the church they meet Reverend Cleophus James, who runs a church and sings "The Old Landmark"

  • Cab Calloway who is the one who took care of the brothers in the orphanage and introduced them to blues, in this scene he sings his famous song "Minnie the Moocher"

  • John Lee Hooker The legendary bluesman is seen playing "Boom Boom" on the streets of Chicago, a scene that pays tribute to authentic urban blues.

But that's not all. The movie itself also features some great songs sung by the brothers, and the film features performances by musicians and actors such as Steve Cropper and Donald "Duck" Dunn, original members of the soul band Booker T. & the M.G.'s, who in the film are also members of the Blues Brothers band. This movie is a gem that if you haven't seen yet, you have to see it. The sad news is that actor John Belushi died two years after making this movie.

Well gentlemen I hope you liked this post so tomorrow more and better
