Nikaah

In Suriname there are lots of races and so there are different traditional weddings.
The government know only one official type of wedding.
But in our cultures we do in various ways.

The muslim society in Su does it in their manner.
So that's called nikaah.

These are pictures of Zienath's nikaah. She chose to wear a normal white wedding dress.
I think this is western clothing style.

Here are some shots where the dua is being read and they hold their hand in a particular way.

I've always said, sometimes b & w pictures tells you more of the story.
It gives another vibe.

This is the close family of Zienath.
They were inside with her waiting for the groom to come.

I just delivered this work yesterday to Zienath.
She was happy seeing the pictures.
I hope she can enjoy.
