I always found it very difficult to play around Soraka, you have to know very well what compositions to use and what items you need, but if you have a Soraka together with Syndra it gives your board a lot of strength, try to bench CC champions like Zac or Ekko so Syndra can get them on the board and give Soraka more time to cast.
