Happiness, to me, is the emotion that I experience when I recognize how good life is and can't help but smile. It's a direct contrast to sadness.

What is Happiness to me?
According to me, contentment, joy, and a sense of well-being all add significantly to happiness. I find that the best way for me to be happy is to be content with what I currently have while striving for more. In this manner, I tend to have an appreciative attitude about life in general.
Despite the fact that happiness is something that everyone aspires to, different people have different definitions of what it is. When the most people discuss what happiness really is, they often refer to their current mood or to a more broad sense of how they feel about life in general.
Although there are many distinct definitions of happiness, it is frequently said to involve joyful feelings and a sense of fulfillment in one's life.
That one thing that makes me Happy.
Observing my close friends succeed is something else that brings me joy. Growing up, I've seen that when I hear my friends succeed in whatever it is they are doing at the time, my heart leaps for excitement.
That's why I'm perplexed when I hear someone is feuding with someone else because the other person is doing much better than him/her. I really canβt wrap my head around it because all my life I have always held on to the quote that says "you attract what you celebrate". So, if I'm really serious about succeeding, I think I should acknowledge and appreciate the achievements of those who emerged before me.
How do I derive my Happiness?
As I earlier established, I've always found contentment to be a huge component of my happiness since I've learned to be thankful for what little I now have while yearning for the best. I've been able to maintain my happiness in this way by focusing on the things I do have rather than the things I don't.
Helping others is the second factor I use to determine my happiness. When I am able to assist those around me in many waysβwhether it be financially, with encouraging words, or in any other way that makes them happyβI frequently consider it a success.
Also, I always endeavor to be happy at all times by enjoying and living in the moment. Just like the Holy Bible says, βa cheerful heart doth good like a medicineβ. Simply put, it indicates that those who are happy and optimistic are much more likely to be in better physical health.
Although it is unlikely that the cheerful would ever fall ill, their capacity to bounce back and deal with disease is significantly increased. When someone is happy, unfavorable situations don't throw them off balance or make them depressed.
If You Want a Happy Heart, Develop Gratitude!
Being someone who is always giving thanks to God and reflecting on your blessings is another method to keep your mind on the good things in life. It is possible to deliberately cultivate this mindset. A glad, cheerful heart will emerge spontaneously from maintaining an attitude of gratitude.
My guiding philosophy in living my life has always been this quotation. I often think of this remark when things aren't going well and I'm about to put on a gloomy face like a typical person. Because I am aware that things won't get better when I'm depressed, I strive to cheer myself up right away.
In Summary; How to Cultivate Happiness?
Enjoy the Moment: According to studies, people frequently overearn because they are too preoccupied with accumulating things to remember to genuinely enjoy what they are doing.
Therefore, put more effort into cultivating thankfulness for the possessions you already have and taking pleasure in the process as you go as opposed to falling into the trap of blindly accumulating to the expense of your own happiness.Reframe Negative thoughts: Find strategies to rephrase your thinking in a more optimistic manner when you find yourself with a pessimistic attitude or feeling down.
It's not about ignoring the unpleasant when you reframe these unfavorable perceptions. Instead, it entails making an effort to view events objectively and realistically. It enables you to spot trends in your thinking and subsequently fight unfavorable ideas.
