Hello everyone 👧.
I had stopped doing long posts for over 3 months and now I'm back. Year 2023 was a bad year for me ☹️. I've been working like hell mostly, meeting many lousy people for making my life difficult and not best in health (for being infected by Covid virus) including my family. However, I managed to go to Thailand and other places for travel using my hard earned money. Due to not doing a long post, it's kind of rusty for me to do a long post 🫣. There's accumulated stories 📝 from my travel journeys and I would like to share it with you all. But, before that, I would like to share my other story first.
For this post, I would like to share about my last dinner in the year 2023. Many people have parties 🍻 outside or at a fancy restaurant during that day. Thus, I had made a reservation 2 weeks in advance at one of the recent famous barbeque restaurants in my hometown. My reserved time was supposedly at 6.00 pm but was postponed to 7.30pm by the restaurant.
Before 2 hours the appointed dinner time, the staff of the restaurant phone-called me for permission whether my group of people can postponed our dinner time as their customer using the same table before us was coming late. In addition to that, there are no more tables available for my group to have dinner on the appointed time. I just agreed on it as the restaurant gave us a benefit for my group to have dinner for 3 hours in the restaurant. For your information, during the peak season, the restaurant only allowed their customers to have a barbeque meal for 2 hours only.
The restaurant provides an all you can eat buffet barbeque meal. My group had been starving themselves since morning (and some did not have breakfast at all) so that they could devour more food in this restaurant. When they heard the dinner time had been postponed, no doubt that all of them were already in a bad mood with hungry stomachs 😤. When we arrived at the restaurant, we expected to sit on the assigned table directly but not. The customer who is the cause of our late dinner is still there until a restaurant's staff chases them out as already time out for having a meal there.
In the above picture, our table seat is just beside the restaurant's glass door. My Sister kept on staring with her furious stare 😠 on that customer who did not want to leave the table seat for our group.
Although there are lots of customers inside the restaurant, the food tray is always being refilled for the customer to get their food for barbeque. Few years ago, I had an experience dine into a restaurant for being slow in refilling the food tray. Maybe it's the business owner's so-called business strategy for providing buffet meals to their customers 🤔.
We were so hungry that we took quite a lot of meat 🥓🥓🥓 for our meal. The satay marinated meat is delicious. We make the waitress 🫡 quite shocked when we order food on a big portion of satay meat. 2 hours of a meal inside this restaurant are not enough. Luckily we had the benefit of extra times to dine in.
End of our dinner, we went to a convenient stall for strolling and bought some booze before returning to our home. Our bodies were smelly with smoke from the barbeque restaurant. My Sister said one person covered her nose when we passed by her. Lol 🫢
The new year countdown I only celebrated at home. Upon reaching 0.00am dated 01.01.2024, the sound of kaboom-firework war started 🎆🎆🎆. I can view many fireworks around my house and the above picture was one of the fireworks viewed through my house's first floor window.
At that moment, I keep on calculating how much money has been spent off for every fireworks blast in the sky 💸.
