Greetings dear friends of #dailyblog ! Today I want to share with you how my day went, hoping you all are having a beautiful day.
I'll start by telling you that today the sky was a lovely blue, with just a few clouds. I love days like this, although sometimes they come with a little more heat than usual. However, that can be solved with good hydration and avoiding long hours of exposure to the sun's rays.
I went out to work as I do every day. I just had to stop by the bank and check the Unik Hotel's chlorine measurement, so I could make it home by lunchtime.
Since the day was so beautiful, I couldn't help but appreciate the scenery along the way. Today the colors were looking more vibrant after having gone through a rainy and cloudy day.

Comenzaré diciéndoles que hoy el cielo estaba de un azul encantador, con apenas unas pocas nubes. Los días así me encantan, aunque a veces vienen con un poco más de calor del habitual. Sin embargo, eso se puede resolver con una buena hidratación y evitando exponernos largas horas a los rayos del sol.
Salí a trabajar como cada día. Solo tenía que pasar por el banco y chequear la medición de cloro del hotel Unik, así que podría llegar bien a la hora del almuerzo a casa.
Como el día era tan hermoso, no podía dejar de apreciar el paisaje del camino. Hoy los colores se veían más vibrantes después de haber pasado por un día de lluvia y nublado.
I finished early at the hotel and was free by 12:20 pm. So I headed home, always with my eyes on the beautiful urban landscapes of the city. I felt a great tranquility, since the island is less convulsed because little by little the seasonal visitors who arrived for the celebration of the Virgin have left.
Terminé bien temprano en el hotel y ya estaba libre a las 12:20 del día. Así que me dirigí a casa, siempre con mi vista puesta en los hermosos paisajes urbanos de la ciudad. Sentía una gran tranquilidad, ya que la isla está menos convulsa porque poco a poco se han marchado los temporadistas que arribaron por la celebración de la Virgen.
When I got home, I got a big surprise. My husband brought a mason friend and they started to build the wall. He wanted to surprise me and the truth is that he succeeded. I never thought they would start the wall of the house today. There was a big mess, but I was still happy because it was one of the unfinished tasks we had for this year.
Al llegar a casa, me llevé una gran sorpresa. Mi esposo trajo a un amigo albañil y comenzaron a levantar el muro. Él quería sorprenderme y la verdad es que lo logró. Nunca pensé que comenzarían hoy a hacer el muro de la casa. Había gran desorden, pero igualmente estaba feliz porque era una de las tareas pendientes por hacer que teníamos para este año.
Quickly, between my excitement and surprise, I began to prepare lunch and attend to their hydration needs. It was the least I could do, since I know nothing about cement or blocks. When they finished laying the blocks, they stopped to leave the part of the columns for tomorrow.
Rápidamente, entre mi emoción y la sorpresa, comencé a preparar el almuerzo y atender sus necesidades de hidratación. Era lo menos que podía hacer, ya que ni de cemento ni de bloques sé nada. Al terminar de poner los bloques, pararon para dejar para mañana la parte de las columnas.
Then my husband and I left to take his friend to his house, which is far away, in a place called San Antonio. There are some beautiful hills there, with a slightly different color than in my town. I could not stop photographing them to show them to him.
Salimos luego mi esposo y yo para llevar a su amigo hasta su casa, que queda distante, en un lugar que le llaman San Antonio. Allí hay unos cerros hermosos, con un color un poco diferente al de mi localidad. No pude dejar de fotografiarlos para mostrárselos.
The day did not end there. When I returned home, I spent some time organizing the mess that was left behind and planning the rest of the week. I like to have everything in order and know what tasks I have pending.
Since I know that tomorrow they will be working with cement again and I have to leave early because I can't undo the work commitment, I decided to bring lunch forward so that when I get back it would be less cumbersome and I could attend to them properly since the construction work is very heavy.
So I left everything planned for tomorrow.

El día no terminó ahí. Al regresar a casa, me dediqué a organizar un poco el desorden que había quedado y a planificar el resto de la semana. Me gusta tener todo en orden y saber qué tareas tengo pendientes.
Cómo sé que mañana volverán a andar con cemento y tengo que salir temprano ya que el compromiso de trabajo no lo puedo deshacer, me puse adelantar el almuerzo para cuando regrese sea menos engorroso y poderlos atender debidamente ya que el trabajo de construcción es muy fuerte.
Así que deje todo planificado para mañana.
