Greetings, my dear hive fellows!
It's the middle of January, and I hope you're having a great time and a great start to the year so far. I am also having a great new year so far with a new schedule and new goals for 2025. Among many others, one of my goals for the new year is to explore more places throughout the year. Though winter has been very dull for me in the previous years, this year, I keep moving to different cities and exploring new places to spend a great time with some outdoor activities and exploring the beautiful surrounding area. You can notice that I have been exploring the nearby cities of my living place, Huairou, in the present day, and as a consequence, I will take you to Miyun City today, which is one of the most underrated tourist spots in northern Beijing. I went to the area last weekend, and it was very pretty with excellent weather. Thanks to my luck, the weather was nice and excellent that day. I visited Mihong Park, which is located in the heart of Miyun City. It had some of the best views, and there was some historical structure there.
Recently, I have chosen some close cities like Miyun City as my trip location for a number of reasons. The first is that it is not very far from the north of Huairou, where I live. Since the weather is getting better and the scenery is more beautiful during this time. The air is clean, and the sky is blue. The second reason is that taking the bus takes less time than taking the bus from my current location. It helps me to go for the exploration when I wake up very late; it is not troublesome in this case. And if something comes up on my way back, I can call a cab because the journey isn't too far, and it won't cost me a lot. I have seen some beautiful and attractive things in the parking area, which is not so far from the bust stoppage where I would get down. There are a lot of mountains in the Miyun district, especially on the west and north parts. So, the views of the park was beautiful in the heart of the city.

After 1 hour, I arrived in Miyun City after I had started my journey from my dormitory around 2 pm after I had taken my launch. This city is much quieter than Huairou city because it is so far north of Beijing City Center. It is about 60–70 km northeast of Beijing, and the area is not very developed in terms of business. Miyun City is very, very attractive for me to visit because it is full of natural beauty. I can go there for many reasons, enjoy its beauty, and spend my leisure time there. I can take a direct bus to Miyun City, but I can't find one that goes straight to the center of Huairou City, so in this perspective, Miyun is a better destination for shopping. Besides, the price of the goods here is lower than in Huairou, which motivates me to come here on a regular basis. On the other hand, the roads and Miyun City itself are very beautiful. Many of my trips next spring will be in this district, as I still have a lot of places I want to explore here.
When I entered Mihong Park through the west gate, I found a lot of people in the park, and on the side of the park was a playground for badminton or basketball. I didn't visit that area as it is on the end side of the park. Then I found an old building that seemed to be a very traditional and old historical structure as I saw a monument in front of the building. The building was locked so I couldn not enter into it just took some beautiful shots from various directions.

I found the Beihe River after crossing the vast open space where a beautiful bridge is built connecting both parts of the park, as the western part is not as large as the eastern part of the park. The river made the park amazing as I climbed up to the peak of the bridge, and the surrounding beauty was breathtaking. I can also see the far mountains on every side of the city area. This location is the hidden gem of Mihong Park.
The frozen river made a blue appearance as the sky was deeper blue because of the excellent air quality without any clouds in the sky in this lovey winter. I stood on the bridge for several minutes to explore the surrounding beauty. As the sun moved toward the west, the whole view became more attractive from the location. I could get some 360 videos, but I did not have the opportunity to do that; otherwise, it could be a great shot.
The overall environment of the whole park was peaceful as there was not too much gathering, as seen in the spring or in autumn, and the Baihe River is frozen. But there isn't any snow in this area either, as Beijing has no snow in this winter so far. The sun was shining brightly, making the exploration more comfortable, as it was making the surroundings warmer a little bit. I was much more comfortable during my visit and these beautiful pictures were easy for me to take in the cold.
In the end, I can say that the northern city of Miyun in Beijing Municipality is blessed with stunning natural beauty and the Mihong park in the heart of the city added extra vibes to it. The view will be different when it snows here, though, and I will try to go back after it snows in coming months. I guess that beauty will be on a different level. Those kinds of days will always be in my memory.
