Greeting! My dear fellow travelers of the Hive universe!
Our lives are the most precious belongings that we have in this world, and our family and friends make our lives more beautiful and precious as they add value to our lives that we can not imagine without friends and family. Though we can not change our family, we are often forced to change our friend circle as we have so many professional issues that are not in our hands. In childhood, our friends were from school, and that often changed due to our parents' transfer to other parts of the region, as many government positions required it. Only the local businessmen and farmers' children have permanent friends throughout life, especially their primary or middle school friends.
But it is also true that modern society is not allowing us to live near our roots as we often need to do our higher secondary school or University education in different cities or towns that can often be so far from our homes. Our circle of friends again changes when we enter into professional life. But throughout our entire life, from each of the circles, there must be some friends that are really awesome to have in our life, and we are always connected to them for the rest of our lives. I have some friends from university, and they will never be forgotten for the rest of my life. My University life became evergreen because of them, and I still miss those days badly, though I can't meet them personally as we are from different parts of Bangladesh.
As a smaller country with little arms power, especially negligible air power, the Air Force Museum's collection was not so diverse during those days. Some elemental planes, helicopters, missiles, and many more displays were under construction. Recently, I have seen some social posts with nice additions with more displays and arrangements in the area.
I have visited many places around the cities where we lived and did some amazing tours to the longest sea beach, Cox Bazar, and the 'Sagor Konna', which means the daughter of the sea. I have also visited many other districts, including Dhaka, Gopalganj, Khulna, Satkhira, Narail, Manikganj, and many more. In the month of our victory we achieved our independence through a nine-month-long liberation war in 1971, and on 16 December, we achieved victory. So, The visit to the BAF Museum just knocked to my mind where I have faced the glory of our liberation war.
This tour was in the heart of Dhaka City, known as the Museum of Bangladesh Air Force. The time we visited the area was the initial stage of construction. As Dhaka is one of the most densely populated cities in the world, it has a very limited number of open parks or open spaces to accommodate around 30 million People in a tiny area.
We have seen some old fighter jet models and some damaged fighters from the Liberation War in 1971, which are relevant to our war history. These were very old, and many of them were just taken over by the fighters from the West Pakistan collection, as our country was under the name of Pakistan at that time. So when we visit the place where our ancestors sacrificed, it comes to our mind. We respect our nation fighters who sacrificed their lives for our liberation.
It was a great day with my friends, who are now living in different locations. For many years, I have not seen one of them, but I wish to meet them as soon as possible when I visit Bangladesh again.
I hope you like my old memories of spending time with my university friends at the beautiful Bangladesh Air Force Museum. It was a nice experience that revived my memories! If you have any questions, let me know in the comments, and I will try my best to answer them.
Thanks a lot for your time and attention. I will catch up with you at the next one.
Wish you a good day!
