Using LeoThreads To Help Your Long-Form Content

LeoThreads is an evolving platform that is going through some changes. Much of this is technical as updates are being worked on. We know that since the switch a week ago, a few things broke. Some has been corrected with much more to do.

The technical stuff is outside the control of most of us. We can only hope the developers get things resolved in a fairly reasonable timeframe.

That said, there is the "culture" surrounding threads. This is something that we can work on.

We know there is a campaign going which is helping to incentivize people to utilize threads. Since it kicked off, we have seen an uptick in users. At the same time, engagement is move ahead. Anyone who was on there sees how there is some strong interaction.

This is important since engagement is crucial. For this reason, I will discuss how to utilize LeoThreads to enhance your long-form content on Hive. More specifically, how it is received.

Forming Relationships

Engagement is a crucial step for forming relationships. This is something that many seek to do. However, few take the time to actually nuture this part of the process.

LeoThreads is a vital component to the Leofinance platform. It is also a tool to get you more recognitionn. On Hive, this tends to mean more upvotes, equating to more rewards.

And this is what most seek.

There is just one problem: LeoThreads became a spamming paradise.

Most took the opportunity to drop their links into LeoThreads and that is all. This is not engagement and ending up turing people off about this new feature on Hive.

Fortunately, the team took the step to help remove this from the view of most users. There is not the option to basically block all of this content.

Notice how there is the option to hide all threads that have links in them. This means that dropping a link to your post is not going to be seen by the majority of people using threads. This includes the heavy users.

Thus, we are seeing a transition to the idea of forming relationships. For those who are sensible, this is a great way to enhance the results you get on your long-form content.

Focus Upon Threads

The approach that seems to work better is to focus upon threads primarily. This is how the relationships are built. If you want to garner attention, do not drop links to your posts. Even if seen, it will likely be ignored, especially by those with a nice bit of Leo Power.

Instead, dive into threads. Start to let yourself be seen there. RIght not there are some issued with the UI and long form content. That will not, however, always be the case. When that is resolved, those who stand out on threads might find their posts are better received.

Relationships online mean appearing on people's radar. I can tell you there are a number of names that stand out to me now who I did not even know a week ago. Certainly, if I am scrolling through the new section on Leofinance, I will stop by their post if I see their name.

Notice the difference. They captured attention first and then the potential for a viewing of a post came later.

This is in direct contrast to what started to take place. People were only using threads to drip the link to their posts. They were not even engaging in the responses. To me (and many others) this is low effort activity that really doesn't enhance the platform. Those who are self-seeking in this manner don;t get a lot from me.

What About Sharing Content?

Some might wonder about sharing content, either their own or that of others. There are going to be more filtering features built into the UI after some of the bugs are resovled.

Sharing content is a perfectly acceptable, including your own. However, if that is all that one is using LeoThreads for, then it is not likely to get one far. Building relationships via threading is a great way to gain a following, especially in these early days.

If you want to stand out, use threads in this manner. Engagement is key. Over time, those who are there will begin to notice you.

That's exactly what I was thinking this afternoon. Your words are wise.

Through Leo Threads I have had the opportunity to interact with other users and let me know a little more in the chain. Especially outside of the circle I normally frequent.

You are right about forming a relationship because I have been having a surge in the number of followers gained through my engagement on threads. Aside from that, I now collect more easily to hivers due to the ways it is to use the threads.

I also want to add that through the thread platform. I have read numerous posts created by other authors, as only a few people attach a link to their posts. I have also uploaded my leofinance post link on threads just twice to create awareness and for people to engage.

I am really big fan of leofinance and LeoFinance Threads but unfortunately I am not able to post any Thread or blog post after new UI lounched, I am very hopeful all issues will be resolved
