a few boats

Good Morning all I hope life is treating you well

as most of you probably know I live in New Bedford MA a coastal city with lots of boats and marinas and I thought I should do a post just focusing on ships of various types.

Starting with a shot of some of the boats in Popes Marina a fairly good sized Marina on Popes Island a small island between New Bedford and Fairhaven.

Some real nice boats docked in this marina, I have often wanted to walk out on the Marina docks and look at some of the ships, but as I mostly visit this spot in the early morning its only accessible to members so I had not had the chance

But you may notice al old ship in this first photo, that is the Neo Trinidad a replica of one of Magellan's ships that is travelled around the world and was docked here for a week.

It was possible to buy tickets and go and checkout the ship and the docks which was cool and when I get around to editing those photos I will do a post talking about it

This next shot was one day when I was picking up my granddaughter from school, as parking by the school can get crazy I generally go there about 45 minutes before school gets out and walk down to the shoreline for half an hour and enjoy some fresh air.

Occasionally while there I may be lucky enough to see some boats going by such as this yacht heading out of the harbor

Some more boats in Popes Marina including the Neo Trinidad

The yacht again, the conditions were pretty rough that day windy and choppy water the yacht at times was at a real slant in fact while I was watching it tacked and turned in a circle before heading out again

From Popes island you can view this small island surrounded by Boats, it is called Crow Island and is privately owned I believe and had a property on it

And a couple of yachts to finish off the post

Hello dear friend @tattoodjay good morning
You live in a beautiful place, which allows you to take beautiful maritime shots. I love boats, I appreciate that you shared these beautiful photographs with us
May you enjoy a splendid day

Beautiful boats. I remember we stopped in Plymouth one summer on our way down to Nantucket Island and they had the Mayflower there in the Harbour … probably a replica. You could pay and take a tour .. but we were in too much of a hurry to catch our boat to Nantucket … we hope to make it back to Plymouth some time to take the tour. I love old boats, and have a pretty good collection of small wooden sailboats and lighthouses scattered around the cabin.

The mayflower docked here once a couple of years back to weather out a storm, I have always meant to go to Plymouth and do the tour but havent got around to it yet, one day

Nice shots of the yacht. I'm always fascinated by the old boats the Neo Trinidad looks like a time traveller 🙂 up from Davy Jones locker or through a worm hole in space

thanks, I have to prepare a post on the Neo it such a cool replica

I love to see the water so calm like on pic 1 and 3, it does give you the sensation that is not water but some kind of floor, like the boats are sitting in a reflective floor, if you think about it for a few seconds watching the pic its very convincing, great pics ✌️

Thanks kindly your support is appreciated
the long exposure to me gives a cool feel to the water
Have a great day

Those sailboats are cool. What a great thing it must be to live on that island and have all of those boats floating around you! Great shots! You're town is so beautiful. I can totally understand why you settled there for retirement (among other reasons!).

yeah I would love to stay on the BNB on that island, not sure if it is still for rent I must look into it,

yes i am lucky such a beautiful area

That would be cool.

Beautiful pictures, I love the sea, and especially the boats. Photo 3 is beautiful!

I never get tired of looking at them, thank you so much @tattoodjay !✨

Thanks kindly your support is appreciated

Have a great day

Nice to meet you, have a good Wednesday!

👍🙂👍

Hello, I really like the sailing boat which is on the last shot of the 3rd photo. Too bad not to see it closer

thanks for your feedback truly appreciated

How lucky you are that your town has these yachts and boats. You can easily get their beautiful view. I wish one day I will also witness this cool view Infront of my eyes.

indeed i am truly lucky so much beauty in this area

That is a nice place, where you live. The boat pics are very good. I would enjoy boats more if I didn't suffer from sea sickness, though...

Thanks kindly your support is appreciated

Have a great day

Amazing images tattoodjay, always a pleasure to watch you at work. 🙏❤👌

Nice view of the boat docks. I really like the old boat replica that is cool looking. Hopefully I won't miss your article on more about it.

I still havent had time to finish editing the photos but maybe this morning I will
