Mono Monday a few shots from recent walks
Good Morning I hope you all had a good weekend
I am starting the week as I tend to do these days with a few Mono Images taken on walks over the last week or so
Some have asked how I decide which photos I will try a mono edit on,and I'm not sure ther eis a simple answer, I just look through my unedited photos, or perhaps as I am working through a series of photos I come to one that I feel will work for mono, and until I gave it some thought this morning i would have probably said its just a feeling that comes ot me that lets try B&W with this one.
But thinking about it and after seeing some other B&W posts from Photograhers i follow on here, I think it is more than that
so what Images jump out to me to try a mono edit on, well cobblestone streets and historic and older buildings I always think of first, I feel mono gives a timeless feel to them
Images with contrasting light and dark such as the first one I will share today also leap out in my mind as calling for a mono edit
Also I find images which have a lot of cool details and textures work well in mono as in color I feel the colors distract our eyes from focusing oin on the textures, where as in MOno they seem to jump out and grab our attention
this first shot is of the local fort as I was taking it I though then that this would end up as a mono image
