Mono Monday some shots of the Veterans day Parade

Good Morning and may you have a good week ahead, as I tend to do I am sharing a few mono shots today, taken on my last time I was out taking photos when I went to catch the Veterans day parade here in New Bedford MA

I took over 200 Photos that day and ended up editing about 175 of them , the color ones I shared on social media, but I saved these ones which I feel worked well in mono to share here

this was the vehicle the grand marshall of the parade was in, he is is Rick Martin, who joined the Air Force in 1971 as a field maintenance airman. He eventually joined the Navy and obtained the rank of Captain in the Naval Reserves

Back when we lived in Ct I used to ge tout and catch most of the parades, St Patricks Verterans, etc etc, but i havent caught any of the parades here, for a mix of reasons my wife had some health issues and I didnt like going out during the day, and secondly I guess laziness, in Milford Ct where we lived it was an easy walk to geto most of the parades here it is a longer walk ad sometimes finding parking not to far fromthe parade routes can be a challenge, but now since i caught this one next year maybe I will do better catching some of the others

Now this next guy I dont know who he was but he was walking proudly in the parade

Awesome!
They all look like the Renaissance photos.
Very perfect for monochrome 😊👍

Great shots, I think personally that the sepia ones "captured the time" really well

Excellent, really beautiful photos, I like black and white stile, congratulations friend nice post 🙋🙋🙋

Thanks I didnt used to do much B&W but now I am more into them and share on MOndays a few mono images

I think the mono edits work really well with the content of this. I don't think we had any parades near us for Veterans Day, but I know a bunch of schools did something special. My father in law always talks to my sister in laws third grade class each year.

Thanks, I was a bit dissapointed in the lenght of the parade but was very happy to see a good crowd showing support for the veterans

They definitely deserve to be honored!

The ambulance is really beautiful... Have a great Monday

Thanks kindly your support is appreciated

Have a great day

Great pictures! It's great to see veterans of all ages out there participating in the parade. I've never participated in one myself, for that matter I'm not sure if I would fit into the old uniform quite as well as I used to! lol

Great B&W's, they fit the occasion nicely!

I know for sure I would struggle to fit into my old uniform LOL

the parade was shorter than i expected but it was great to see a good turn out of spectators showing support

That is nice when the community show support and gratitude for those who served in the military. Those uniforms are designed to fit best when you are in very good physical condition, sadly I'm no longer at my peak! lol

Don't you just love a town that is large but has a small-town feel? Where people know you and most of the residents. And events like this, a parade honoring Veterans, get all of you together and show their support. It is just fun, @tattoodjay !!
