Part 2 of some shots of the legendary car club cruise in Acushnet recently

Car shows and car cruises have started again with the nicer weather here, and Monday even though it was cloudy skies and a possibility of rain I decided to go and check out a car cruise hosted by Legendary car club their cruise is in the grounds of a VFW post in Acushnet.

I'm not sure if it was the inclement weather or its a small club there wasn't a huge amount of cars, but more than enough for me to enjoy walking around checking them out and taking a few photos some of which I will share in this post.

A couple of people in comments rightly pointed out in my first post the predominant color of the cars was black, so for this post I will focus on a couple of other cars there were different colors

Starting with this classic Green Chevrolet, I took a bunch of shots of it for a couple of reasons.

Firstly although I am not generally a fan of green colored cars, perhaps spending twelve years in the army put me off green LOL

And secondly, the owners at this cruise were for the most part sitting in a group and chatting with themselves, only a couple of the owners came and talked to me as I was taking the photos

One being the owner of this car, he told me he picked up from when it was found in a Barn in Oklahoma I believe and brought it here to MA and did 90% or more of the work restoring it himself

IT was pretty clear that one he loved this car, he was 76 and when he was younger wanted this model of car and only was able to buy one in his 70's and was very proud of the work he had put into it

a last shot of it

and moving onto the other few shots I had of this one that a few people seemed to like in my previous post the Fairlane

I know absolutely nothing about cars, but those things are just beautiful!
Don't really understand why on earth to put glitter on steering wheel- but! they still look very cool:)

Thanks kindly your support is appreciated

Have a great day

Pleasure is all mine!

Oh my...these are beautiful vehicles!! What is the tank mounted on the front of the Chevrolet...? Is it using Nitro?

to be honest I wondered the same about the tank, I should have asked the owner but I dont think I had noticed it art the time i was talking to him

No problem. Maybe you'll see him around again, then you can ask next time. If not, no harm done👍. I was just curious😄.

I've always been fascinated by this kind of cars, they're great. Wonderful shots @tattoodjay as always!

How are you dear friend @tattoodjay good morning
I was waiting for the second part of the classic cars post.
Although I'm not a big fan of the color green, I must say that this classic Chevrolet caught my attention, its interior is very nice, but I still insist that the Fairlane is my favorite
beautiful photographs, I appreciate that you have shared this second part
have a nice day

Good Morning my friend
I am the same not a fan of green cars but it works well on that one

Have a good day

What nice pictures, these cars, from years gone by, are beautiful and although I didn't look at the earlier black cars, I do think the colors of these models make them look spectacular and much more striking. Your photos allow us to get to know each car up close. Very beautiful photographic work and incredible exhibition.

Thanks so much and yes I loved these cars more than the more modern black ones I shared earlier

That green car is pretty awesome. I really like the way the radiator is so nice looking even though it is mostly hidden when you are driving. It is amazing the cars that they find in barns. Definitely some hidden gems out there across the country.

Amazing vintage cars you've got here.
I was hoping to see a Volkswagen Beetle but unfortunately I didn't.

Fun post. I think the Chevy is a 1956. In high school, a friend of mine had a 55 and a 57. Or at least his dad did and we got to cruise around in them 😁 56 and 57 Chevys had the gas filler cap behind the tail lights. Check out that rabbit hole here if your interested lol

That Fairlane is one sweet looking ride.

!LOL

What do you do with a car whose wheels are completely worn out?
You re-tire it.
