This is an improvised electronic set I recently recorded for VEMOM (Virtual Electronic Music Open Mic).
VEMOM came about out of the very popular EMOM community as an outlet during the pandemic for people to continue to perform electronic music.
VEMOM is broadcast on Twitch and is a mixture of pre-recorded and live sets from electronic musicians from all over.
This music is similar to what I do weekly on my Brixton Radio show but with perhaps a slightly more prepared approach to it given that I only had 10 minutes to show of the sounds and grooves I can make. The radio show is an hour (or mostly of the time longer) and I'm somewhat more experimental, moving through a range of styles and feels.
Anyway I wanted to share the set with you as I think it gives a good insight in 10 minutes into what my modular performances are all about. And yes there is some synth playing too in this one (from my trusty Propher Rev 2!)
If you are interested in participating in VEMOM, you can find more details on their Facebook page.
And the next event is 28th July at 8pm UK time and you can watch on their Twitch channel.
