Many people are on tight budgets and searching for ways to lower their food costs.
Planning a cheap dinner is crucial, particularly with a tight budget.
Today, I think of a budget-friendly recipe that is worth it.
So, I decided to have some Sarciadong Tilapia and Kamatis.
Tilapia and kamatis, or tomatoes, are the primary ingredients in this recipe.
You can make a tasty and filling lunch out of the leftover fried fish from last night! This inexpensive, healthy dish is great for lunch or dinner.
The delicious taste and simplicity of the dish are cherished across the country. It's an excellent example of Filipino cuisine incorporating various influences without losing its unique regional flavors!
Not only can you use tilapia, but you can also use saltwater fish.
Although it's widespread in this recipe to use beaten egg, I'll only use kamatis or tomatoes and Tilapia for today.
Two pounds of cleaned tilapia are fried until crispy and then simmered in sauce.
-The dish's distinct flavor comes from three diced medium-sized tomatoes, which give the sauce a rich, tangy flavor.
-Diced three medium-sized onions; onions' inherent sweetness and aromatic qualities bring out the sauce's flavor.
-To make the sauce, add 1 3/4 cups of water. This helps to blend the flavors of the tomato and onion and gets the right consistency.
-Half a teaspoon of ground black pepper gives the food a subtle kick of heat and rich flavor.
-Two teaspoons of finely chopped garlic give the sauce a hearty, savory flavor that goes well with the other ingredients.
-Two tablespoons of fish sauce improves the overall flavor of the sauce by adding a salty, umami taste.
I prepare Sarciadong Tilapia with Kamatis as follows:
First, heat some oil in a skillet and add the fish, making sure to season it with salt before cooking.
After the fish has been fried, take it out and put it on a plate covered with paper towels to absorb extra oil. Put aside.
Heat two teaspoons of cooking oil in a clean pan and gently sauté the garlic, onions, and tomatoes until they become soft.
Stir together after adding the fish sauce and ground black pepper. Simmer the fried fish in the pan for three to five minutes after adding it.
After adding the fried fish, let it simmer in the pan for three to five minutes.
I made today's simple dish in this manner. It is inexpensive, but trust me when I say it tastes fantastic!
