Well Hello There Fellow Technicians And Hivers!

Age Restriction.

Set to the max with this one it seems! Whelp let's see if we can put her back to the max for the sake of it now!

This is actually going to be a fairly easy one as it doesn't have that big of a issue, well it's big if you look at it price wise because the component is expensive. But this is also a good second hand plate and not some brand spanking new part straight from Ford! Nope for those you'll pay a hefty fine! More than you care to know!

A Ford is a pretty thing though ey!

Into The Belly Of The Beast!

Well it's not a beast persay but it is a 3.2 liter so it's at the very least above a 2 liter!

Isn't it weird how these always seem to be looking beautiful on the inside, laughs well okay we did a oil change on this one a few days ago. There is a reason why oil is so damned clean ey!

But damn I can't stop staring at the cleanliness of it all! I am loving it!

Okay for now I'll unbolt the bolts and keep two in on opposite sides of the valve body, untorqued though. Then I'll leave it be for the oil to slowly drain out of it, otherwise you'll end up having a bad oil day! Laughs that oil crawling down the pits!

I Found A Deep Love.

Truth be told I wasn't ever much of a fan for an automatic transmission but I am now! I sure as hell am now!

People can come and say what but these things are just built differently and therefor should be handled differently! So very much differently!
Okay but for today we wont be doing a tear down on this one, sorry unfortunately the job at hand is almost done with!

Yeah that quick! Six more bolts and we are ready to refit it back into the transmission!

As Easy As That!

As I said the next step is likely the easiest of it all. Now this isn't actually the TCM part of the transmission. That would be located inside the cabin of the pickup, this is merely a connecter of sorts, something that routes the power to it. It might of as well have been a wire harnass!

But instead it's some fancy looking plastic piece of thing!
This also has all your speed sensors on it so it's probably not just a piece of thing after all it's a valuable piece of thing to say the least.

Well with that swapped out we are on the fast track to completing this job! And quicker than I thought!

Until the next teardown!

Take note this is not a how to guide, merely myself talking about the work I do and my thoughts around certain things.

Wow man, that feeling when everything looks so clean inside after an oil change. There's something satisfying about it, hehehe, Also, automatic transmissions have definitely won me over too, I can't imagine Manual
