Well Hello There Fellow Travelers And Hivers
Coffee, Coffee, Hot Chocolate and more Coffee
I'm sure you've guessed it by now but the day for coffee was nigh and it came at the perfect time!
Brothers Coffee Roastery
Now there's a place I'll drink coffee at on a daily basis! The Coffee the vibe the atmosphere and everything in between is simply enjoyable beyond a measurement. I visited the roastery last year and the last time I came I made some promises, it was time to abide by them and deliver!
The Promises
I promised myself that I'll get myself and my mother a 1KG bag of Brothers Hot Chocolate.
I Did!
I promised the Betty that we would get her those fancy gumboots she likes.
We Did!
So all in all the day was more than successful, in my opinion it was splendid!
The Adventure
Of course we didn't just go to throw a few bucks around! A coffee was a must! And I mean who won't want to walk around a fancy looking building that smells of roasted coffee beans?
Like the real deal coffee smell!
But first let's take a semi tour of the coffee roastery, it looks a little bit different than what it looked like the last time we visited. From what I noticed is they added another coffee station/little kitchen so I won't be wrong if I say they must have gotten a few more feet over the last few years!
Why won't they? Good coffee has it's customers!
A fancy looking coffee roaster ornament, one that I wont mind hanging on my own wall.
Before life was easy, many many years ago they dove into the deepest of bean oceans, to extract the finest from the lot! Oh who am I kidding!! I don't know the connection of a coffee bean to a old diving mask. What I can say though it doesn't really look out of place, it looks like it belongs! Perhaps because of the fact that it looks a lot like a coffee bean!
Odd bean looking diving mask.
Coffee bags decorated most of everything that didn't look like it belonged, they even had old coffee bags sewn together for window shutters
The Husqvarna Sewing Machines
Now of everything in life I would never have thought I'd see something like this. I know a lot of brands are tied to a lot of different companies, but these are sewing machines and first of all I never thought Husqvarna was older than 20 years perhaps?
No I will find out in some coffee shop in the middle of nowhere next to the coast that Husqvarna is indeed much much older than I knew, and they started off with things unknown to me. I was under the impression that they made motorcycles and grass cutters!
A nice collection of Husqvarna sewing machines!
How it works, well you aren't really guided to a seating place, you simply wander in and wander around a little more, pretend that you're browsing the roastery and while you're doing that you play I spy with my little eye a place where you can be seated. Laughs well not really but if you think about it most people do that anyways, as for me and the Betty we wandered around taking photos of everything first.
I'm certain everyone in that place thought that we are two little kiddo's who can't get enough of their phones! When actually we trying to get those nice looking photos!
But eventually we had to fall inline and order something ey? After all that's why we came!
I blessed myself with a Fratella which was actually a coffee mixed with hot chocolate, now doesn't that sound like a treat? The Betty had the same idea!
The little coffee bar we had to order our drinks.
After ordering we continued wandering outside where we took a few of what people call selfies! Glad we did, I feel like we don't take nearly enough! I suppose it's because neither of us really fancy a camera, but putting that aside will help a lot!
The serene background view of the mountains.
We can tick the coffee adventure of our list now Bubs.
The Coffee Roaster
No doubt he must have the knowledge of the secret twist that Brothers add to their coffee.
When I'm in a nice environment I love to walk around and stare at everything that my eyes fancy, much like I did here!
Have you ever seen such a big coffee roaster? Well neither have I! It looks like some fancy process that the beans have to go through, it's got a computer and everything connected to it, that measures temperatures and well some stuff that is far beyond my knowledge of coffee roasting!
I wonder how many beans this man processes on a daily basis.
They certainly made everything to last back in the day, probably because everything had to last!
This is new, they didn't have this the last time I came to visit! A big coffee mug full of used coffee beans, who would have thought of that! It's only meant for decoration it serves no real purpose but it's very innovative I would say!
The big coffee mugs filled with old used beans.
The views still have me gazing into the abyss.
A Little Surprise From The Betty
As always the Betty @misshugo loves to surprise me, she knows I do fancy them!
I had it that we were only getting some fancy coffee, but it seems like I was gifted some fancy Lemon Meringue however fancy it was I can tell you it wasn't nearly enough, if I had my way I'd have eaten three of them perhaps even five of them!
Thanks for the prezzie @misshugo sofar this has been one amazing action packed adventure with you!
The little Lemon Meringue present from the Betty.
An Angola portrait, which is also the official logo of Brothers!
All I can see in this photo is how the Betty placed her mobile phone on the counter infront of her, but what surprises me even more is the fact that she didn't forget it there!
Laughs Laughs!
I gotta say I fancy most of the stuff sold it the shop, it's everything I would ever want however it's nothing I'll ever use! Okay that's a bit far fetched there's a lot I'll use but most would probably be stashed in some closet to be forgotten of!
Oh but Bubs that won't fit you it's far too big! Far too big!
One of the first things I'll buy for my own place one day! A coffee machine and one of these wooden tree trunk tables! Perhaps one that has a little bit of resin moulded in it!
I think it would be a fitting place to drink coffee ey?
A table fit for a king and a queen to dine on.
More coffee than I would be able to drink up in a lifetime!
The Spoils Of Vacation
It's not a matter of need to have, it's a matter of we can't afford but we want!
What would life be without living? What would money saved mean if I was to die on the morrow (Save my soul I won't) but what if! Taking what we wanted meant we would have at least enjoyed our last day to the fullest! Laughs I know I can overthink a thing and stretch it out!
So back to the gifts! Those gumboots the Betty wanted, well she has them now! Those fancy gumboots! She can still go about her business using the gumboots and still be able to snazzy and fancy!
Glad you like them!
Snazzy and fancy gumboots!
Two bags? Didn't you say a KG bag? Well two makes 2KG!
You are right indeed!
I had to buy two! One would never be enough! Both myself and my mother fancy this! And we fancy Brothers Hot Chocolate even more! I ended up buying the mother her own bag so she can take pleasure in hiding it away from me and drink her fancy hot chocolate next to me when I drank all mine up!
Laughs the other bag is for me and the Betty who I believe will put some restraint on me with how much I am allowed to drink up.
Two tasty bag of Brothers Hot Chocolate.
