Well Hello There Fellow Technicians And Hivers!

Not A Fan Of This Beast!

Seriously I aint! This is one crappy car to work on and you wont ever guess that it has a Dodge/Chrysler motor popped in the hood!

A load of bollocks if you ask me! Well we've got some issues with this one and we're not quite sure as to what exactly it is, it might be a mechanical failure or it might be just the valve-body... Not sure but we have sent the transmission away for a rebuild and it still has some problem with it!

Let's dig in and see what we can unearth!

Oh Dear!

Okay so the photo was taken in a crappy manner BUT! It's as crappy as the situation!

I completely forgot about this exhaust and cross member running along the underside of it! This is going to be a bad one! A frustrating one if you ask me!

Now here's the thing... No need to cry about it, even though that's all I want to do... Might as well just buckle up and not waste time and get the job done!

Hmmm right... Okay!

The Most Frustrating Part!

I don't know about all the other techies out there! But I do love my job! But when it boils down to things like this! Well then I'm not much of a fan anymore! Laughs!

The uncontrollable oil situation is legitly just irratating me into the ground! But as everyone keeps telling me it's part of the job man! Just suck it up!

Well I am sucking it up! And soaking it into my hair and everything!
Oh the humanity! Don't spare me!
A real patience tester!

Truth Be Told! I Struggled!

Now this one humbled me! It really did!

I thought I knew it all until! Until this damned Jeep thought it good to humble the heck out of me!

The park link had me good! Oh it had me good! The problem is it was suppose to just come out... It didn't! Long story short.. you can't just force these things out, it really is a game of patience... trial and error and trial and error! Over and over and over!

This Tells A Story Without Words!

Now here's the simple math and something that most people wont head. It's actually very easy to see a mechanical failure without pulling the transmission at all!

Now I wont just go off the bat and drain and fill a wonky transmission... we know this thing was rebuilt so we added new oil and with new oil that's drained with a mechanical failure.... Hmmm yeah it would have been as gunky as gunk could be!

This is still a damn beautifull colour!
Kudos to that we've only got a valve-body issue, well left unattended it would turn into a mechanical failure that much is certain!

A Slight Transfer!

Now before I can just go ahead and push everything back into the vehicle we've got a few things to rearrange and get done!

Mainly the Park/Neutral switch... well not switch in this case... more a slide? And the selector link also needs to go over along with the Park lock. Now we need all of those for this car to function! Might be we can skip the Park lock but why? We're here now might as well just do it all! Or get caught slacking!

I'm super glad this fixed the problem! It was a hella hard mission to get it all done with and tore down! I had no liking in removing all of this again to test another solenoid block!

I would legitly have cried then!
