Well Hello There Fellow Gamers And Hivers!
A Fatefull Decision!
After my last quest I decided to clear out some of the witcher contracts I had stacked up, I really needed to. There are monsters to kill and not just a story line to follow!
Besides this is for the good of the realm am I right?
I met up with this farmer who's brother dissapeared (It's likely that he is already dead, most who disappear turn up dead anyways) but his brother went off helping strangers to clear out some sort of mine close to the village of Mulbrydale near "The Hang Mans Tree"
Never a good place to disappear, especially with the war going on!
This is strange, Nilfguaardians patrolling the area as if there is no problem at all? No manners they have as usual!
Never A Good Sign!
I've not even treaded into the mine shafts yet and I've already found limbs and pieces of human flesh and blood scattered around the entrance.
This might not end in a good story for the farmer at all!
Strange that the guards patrolling the area didn't even smell the stench or they've gotten so used to it over the years of war raging in this side of the country!
What's Lurking?
At-least now that I've slain a young one I might have some idea of what I might run into and it ain't going to be a pretty show at all!
The problem now is that these caves are twisty, windy and long with lots of water pools around, navigating in this place is going to be a real mess!
I'd have thought the mother would come storming out to defend her young ones but I assume she's way farther down the shafts!
One Of The Lucky Ones!
She sure as hell is! They must still be eaten fat with all the limbs lying outside, ief I waited a day longer she might have already been digested juices!
The others are all dead so I would suggest she made her way out of here as fast as she can, things are about to wake up in these mines!
Deeper, Much Deeper!
After venturing much deeper into the mine shafts and swimming underneath a lake in the mine, I came down on a whole bunch of eggs that were almost ready to hatch.
Almost but not yet and we all know what is about to happen right!
Destroy them, because I have no other choice. If all these got bred out and left to grow up the village won't be the only one's suffering! No those things would wander this entire continent feasting and ravaging where ever they go!
Burn Them All!
The Lair!
This must be the lair!
Without a doubt, I can smell the arachas wandering around in there!
There she is!
And she is god awful and ugly!
Let's see if we can't make that big purple bubble on her back pop!
It aint going to be easy at all, that much is certain! I only noticed she is high level 33 and I am still a young one on level 20.
I can do this but I would have to fight very very carefull!
Bide your time!
Truth be told she almost got me, she almost got me dead and rotting! How would these farmers think they would have taken her down? Just how?
Fortunately I used the Quen ability on my self which gave me a solid shield, but she spat some poison ball that hit right through that shield and still managed to almost kill me! Heck if I had three health points left it must have been a lot!
Only When Ready!
From that one blow that almost killed me I decided to take things real slow and steady and I only engaged when I had more than half of my health to lose and only when I had a shield ability activated over me!
Slow and steady will get the job done just as good! Just take it slow!
Evidence!
Well there's always this... since none of these farmers sending me out on contracts can actually kill these things they tend to want proof that I am infact the one that can kill them!
Untrustworthy bastards!
So why not cut a little souvenir for them!
Claiming The Coin!
Oh of-course the farmer didn't want to pay the coin he so promised to do in the poster on the notice board.
Fair work for a fair price!
He argues that I didn't bring his brother back alive so I don't need the coin, thankfully I was able to persuade him with words rather than fists!
What Will Be Next?
Shall we go clear out even more of these caves caverns or mines?
I think that might be a brilliant idea!
