Well Hello There Hivers!
This Weekend Was Out Of The Ordinary!
What made this weekend so damn special? Well perhaps the fact that is was too damn long!
It really was! I don't want to sound ungratefull at all (I did enjoy having so much time to be lazy) but having to get out of bed this morning. It was hard!
So before we fall back to normal reality I'd like to be dragged back to my weekend again! One last time!
She's Clearly Not Impressed!
Don't be fooled, it might look like a smile but in actuality she was cringing up badly! Laughs I can't blame her I do exactly the same when she wants to take photos of me.
Yet we both tell each other we need to take more photos of ourselves and then when we do, we get this.
She was supposed to be excited! Let me tell you why!
The Excitement Finally Cracked The Surface!
See here's the thing.
Yes we could have ordered the book online and cut the waiting time by weeks but this wasn't just any book.
Especially not to @misshugo AKA The Betty!
This was the last book of the collection that she still needed. Now the reason she went to every book store in town was because the new versions they print has a black cover and seeing that she has the whole collection in white it would be an awfully sad sight to see a black covered book at the end of the collection right?
Most people might say "Ahhh we're full of shit" well they are damn spot on with that. If it was my collection I'd not want anything else than the white!
Fortunately for me I only really started reading as of the last two years and the books I bought I bought in a bundle so they are all the same. If a book has more than one in the series I'd suggest buying them all at once and have it done with!
I'm Glad You Got The Book You Wanted!
Knuppeldik Aan Koningskos!
Where are my fellow South Africans?
Of everything there is to find on this planet I did not think that I would ever find a newly printed version of this! It's somewhat saddening that this is a English version but hey you got to make due with what you're given right?
There was no real need to buy this book since both our parents and both our grandparents own one of these. But it's nice owning your own stuff and just the other day I told @misshugo that we need to get one for us.
It was pricey though, R350 (ZAR) it's just under $20 dollars. That doesn't sound like much but I think it's worth more in our country.
With that said I can tell you that you'll be seeing me in the #FoodiesBeeHive community real soon! I just have to share some of these amazing South African style recipes with everyone!
I think we've got the most unique food dishes out there!
It's Becoming A Thing.
It isn't suppose to really!
Lately whenever we go shopping we tend to drink a coffee afterwards, mainly because it's enjoyable and the atmosphere is nice!
It was never something I saw myself doing, in fact I was always against it! I mean why pay so much for coffee when you've got coffee at home and can make it for so much less?
Well the answer is simple, it's not really as much about the coffee as it is about who you're drinking coffee with! To me personally the more time I can spend with The Betty the better!
So you can say drinking coffee is one of our things!
A Celebration For Those We Miss Dearly.
After doing everything we wanted to do we met up with The Mums to drink a milkshake for the sister that I lost some years ago. Every year on her birthday we would go out and eat an ice cream or you know just getting together to celebrate it. This year it was a little hard to do it on her birthday but I'm sure she wouldn't mind. She would have been 19 years old on the 21st of September this year.
Kayleigh, Mum still misses you like it happened yesterday and she can't wait to see you again one day. Much love from all of us.
No this isn't some fancy garden restaurant, laughs!
Since me and The Betty wanted to go to the nursery to get some pot soil, so we thought it might cater for everyone, we can drink the milkshake for the sister and we can get some things we needed. I wrote a post about why I wanted pot soil! Check it out. My Little Onion Sprout!
Well yeah.
It seems we didn't stop at a milkshake! But why kill good vibes when they are flowing?
I think at this point all of us were hangry! It was about ten to four and none of us had eaten anything other than snacks for the day so we all decided to get something to eat! Me and The Mums actually split our food. To think that what is in my plate is only half of what the dish is, nah it's too much food and me and The Betty have been down that road! We share or we don't eat here! Laughs that is one good thing about this place is that you'll always have to roll out of there because of the insane amount of food they hand you!
I Don't Get This?
Perhaps it's just me? When the wind blows nobody wants to sit under the trees, Okay I do understand the reason for that and it's because small twigs and leaves tend to fall down onto your food and what not.
Well that doesn't bother me at all, I did eat sand when I was younger and so did most of us so why the heck would you care about a leaf or a twig?
I don't know, there is something very spectacular about dining under trees when the wind blows! The sound, the motion of the trees it's all just so therapeutic, well to me personally. Might be other people get annoyed by it!
It almost makes me feel like that is what life is all about!
I did take like eight moving pictures but apparently Hive doesn't want me to use those, bummer.
It would have really spoke a thousand words of what I meant!
We Might Be A Little Crazy At Times!
I think it was already past 10 pm at this point and we decided to make some jelly for us!
Yeah that time of night!
Oh and we at it that night as well, yeah we stayed up until it was ready to be eaten!
Why not? One day we're going to be too old to even stand up to make ourselves jelly and we won't even talk about the staying awake part!
It's weird how excited we can get for the little things in life and that's a good thing because one day it's the little things we will remember and cherish!
With that said I hope everyone has an amazing week ahead of them! Yeah it's already Tuesday but our week just started so today is like a Monday for us!
