Well Hello There Fellow Gamers And Hivers
In the last episode of The Witcher 3 Saga I had to kill some great woodland beast that attacked us while we tried to free Anna from the clutches of The Crones it was a long and hard battle but we eventually over came the beast, there are after we realized that The Crones have put a curse on Anna turning her into a Waterhag a vile and even more beastly water creature.
I did manage to gain some valuable information on where Ciri might be headed as well, Novigrad. A while back Yennefer left for Novigrad not long after we met with Emperor Emhyr I decided to not use the portal instead I decided to travel by foot and horseback. By now I hope that Yennefer has been able to catch up with Ciri. If not she can't be far behind.
I once again found myself in the dark bellows of a evil room and of no other than the evil Crone Sisters. I wont mind being rid of them now but I do believe I've still got plenty left of seeing them in the game. They are a dark and evil brood, one that I would rather rid the world of then have it living in the shadows.
Geralt and the witch hunter went into the cellar's beneath the great house in the swamp like Johhny mentioned, but what we found left is in some small shock to say the least, even the witch hunter has never seen so many cursed dolls in one place. The witches takes a lock of hair from a person and weave it into a little rag doll and bind great dark magic tethers on a persons soul that way.
A dark and evil art.
The problem came with choosing the right doll with the right ornament bounded to it, the ornament is what really binds to the person and in this case it was the one with the flower attached to it.
At-least it was the closest guess we had so we went with it, and as soon as we plucked it from the table we heard a loud scream and then a wolves howl outside.
What have we done?
Once we got outside it seemed that we have chosen the correct doll after all, Anna was a vile beast no more, she returned to human form.
But we were deceived none the less. The Crones placed a curse upon the curse and Anna was already busy dying. The only thing to do now was wait for the curse to run it's course nothing more we could have done.
Even though this is a sad thing that happened, it really taught me a valuable lesson in dealing with the crones in the future, they will always be deceitful.
Anna's death did not only take its toll on Tamara, The Baron got grief stricken himself perhaps a bit more. I went back to Crow's Perch to collect on my payment from The Baron but he was no more. He hanged himself from the great oak tree in the middle of the yard.
It seems that he took all of this harder than any of us could think.
And that marks the official end of The Baron's story, unless the old bastard can come back to life somehow I'd reckon we can finally get a major story shift soon!
The Devil By The Well.
I decided to take a small break from the main storyline quests and focus on some bounties that was able to be collected, it's well over due and I am in great need of coin now, fighting monsters on higher level can really chow the gold up since I need supplies to keep me alive long enough to kill those wretched things!
There was a witcher contract in White Orchard somewhere in a small town near the Woesong bridge and I meant to collect on it.
The farmer wanted me to clear a curse on a well in a nearby abandoned village, he believed it to be a witchly ghost of sorts that attacked anyone that goes near the well or even near the burnt up village.
Something terrible has happened here in this village, the whole damn place is burned up. This wont be as easy as dispelling the ghost or wraith, whatever it might be, I'd have to do some digging as to why the spirit is still clinging on to this place. Might be something it's searching for before it can cross over from this world.
It's evident that whoever this person was has suffered a great deal before dying, might be why it's still lingering around. I found a rope leading into the well with a carcass hanging from it and upon dragging it out I noticed that the left arm was missing, this proved a problem since I needed to cremate the bones but I needed whatever was carried on the left arm, might just be the trinket that binds it to this village.
I was ultimately left with no choice other than to dive down into the well. Not knowing what lies beneath I just leapt over and make the unknown a surprise for me.
I was fortunate enough that nothing lurked below, nothing dangerous at-least. I found what I was looking for, a bracelet of some sorts that would be able to give me a few coins, it's a shame that I have to burn it with the carcass to get rid of this ghostly apparition.
It was when I burned the remains I found hanging in the well when I saw the greenish aura pushing up from the well, the wraith appeared, I should have known that it wont go to rest as easily!
This is truely the ugliest Noonwraith I have ever seen, I'm completely unsure if I'll be able to kill this ugly apparition. Damn I don't want anything of that touching my blades, I swear I'll never get that stench off.
Coin is coin though and I am in need of a good amount of them.
The fight was a lot harder than I thought it would be given the level difference but this wraith was powerful and my Quen shield didn't seem to hold up against her magic, I suppose magic can not counter magic. One slash from her claws broke it with no worries and even cut into my armor.
I'll have to play this slow to be able to keep using my shield for protection and eventually overcome the fight that way.
The Woodland Beast
After slaying the Noonwraith I decided to jump on the next withcer contract available, working my way up through the levels.
Now this one I'm sure I've completed already but the guard might be unaware of it's completion, either that or there is another woodland beast lurking about.
Before even starting off with that quest I ran into some bandits along the road, usually it's always no more than three or four but this was a huge group working together, I'd say more than ten of the bastards!
As always I can't leave a man once he's drawn his sword on me right, or on one that I drew my sword on. That won't be withcerly at all.
They were all so daft for staying on their horses during the fight. I had the advantage now, I'm going to play with fire and we all know horses have no liking of a fire!
Now how much would they like it when I throw some fire right in their faces?
I'd say the men on horse back were a lot stupider than the ones treading on the ground but one thing is for sure they were certainly a whole deal braver! The bloaks on the horses received no help from there so called brothers on the ground, no they just stood around and watched how I gutted them one by one.
One thing that these bandits, deserter filth ridden peasants have in common is the lack of discipline. No wonder they broke from their armies to come and steal from the poor.
Men without honour or dignity.
Men who can easily be taken one to eight, if the one has discipline and stability. It's never a fair fight but you yourself can make it so.
Until the next episode! Keep on gaming like you've only got one life left!!
