Christmas is the time to celebrate the birthday of Jesus Christ with our family and friends. The birthday of Jesus was not actually on 25th of December. The 25th of December was the day they all agreed on. During the birth of Jesus Christ, there was cold (Harmattan) and by the time they studied the weather, they noticed that December is the time we experience cold (Harmattan) and 25th was picked as date.
So many things happen before and after this time. This is the period People want to work extraordinary so they can look good and satisfy their family. And again after Christmas, new year will be approaching.
So by this, the sellers will add to the price just to make more profit because they already known they will definitely buy it, its compulsory.
I went to the market on the 23rd, just to get some stuff in the market, I had to forgo some other things and bought the most important one because the price of two week ago has now turn to double, I couldn't afford some.
MOST WE FORCE OURSELVES TO BUY THINGS BEYOND OUR CAPACITY
I don't think is necessary, this is the time to pray and thank God for the savior he sent to the world but Most people misinterpret Christmas, they buy clothes, shoe that are expensive and forget that by January student will resume fully to school and bills will comes in. I'm not saying we shouldn't buy what we want or like on that very day but Its not necessary to go in debt or over-do just to show off to others.
THE JOY IN CHRISTMAS DAY
Is the time you enjoy with your family and have some rest. We eat most delicious food this time, sharing of food with your neighbors and seeing beautiful decorations made by Christmas color both in church and on the road side.
Today, I did even stress myself to eat much in the morning because i already known food will come without begging for it. After the morning food, I went to church for Christmas service, my coming back home was funny, lol, I started visiting my church member from one house to another and everyone I visited brought food to my table and what I did was that, I only took the meat alone and let them understand that I'm okay and they understand.
By the time I got home, I went straight to bed and slept off. I really enjoy Christmas.
