Hi everyone... I hope I met you all well and good. This is my entry on this months theme - Boredom. I will want you to take out time and unwind as you come along with me on my view.
What would you say to someone if they said to you: "I'm bored "? Your response will probably vary depending on who says it to you. We wouldn't respond to our child the same way we would respond to an adult. Wait a minute! Can adults be bored? Is leading busy lives the solution? Please join us for this entire post.
To me, boredom is a state of being perplexed, unsatisfied, fatigued and all sorts. I feel a state of boredom is when my emotion doesn't get satisfaction from what is happening around me or anything I find myself doing. Being indoor all day and repeating the same activities or even being in the midst of quite a number of people and still not feel lightened about the things happening around. Though, I know I’m a type of person that doesn’t get to talk much but I can’t say I’m a boring person when I am with people I’m free with.
There was a point in my life when I was in a state of depression. Each passing day, my daily routine was to cry and over think. Even when I thought of doing something else, I found myself being lost in thought. At that stage of my life, there was no activities that I found interesting, all I ever wanted then was to just lay down on my bed and overthink, followed by a stream of tears flowing down my cheeks - boredom ate me up. Every tasks I found myself doing at that moment wasn’t challenging enough and I regarded them as useless.
I felt like I was just being forced to do them without a defined purpose and I get tired of it easily. I loose concentration and focus anytime I’m bored. Now, I’ve come to realize that people get even more bored when the activities around them isn’t intriguing enough. Especially when you are an introvert like me where it’s not in our nature to go out often.
Boredom may not be totally avoidable, but it can be managed by finding something meaningful to do and reminding ourselves why we are doing it, listening to a rhythm and flowing with it, trying something new and possibly connecting with others. These tips have worked for me, and hopefully might work for you too if you try it out.
Pen drops! Thanks for sacrificing your time to go through this.
Gracias!
