Two days ago it happened. With the Hive/BTC at an historic all time low, I decided to swap another 0.005 BTC into Hive. I actually swapped a few days earlier as well and tried to lower my dollar (BTC) average. Of coursde I powered up some of the hive and here we are! With about 6,600 HP I finally broke the barrier to evolve from a minnow to one of the most iconic sea creatures out there: a dolphin.

My Voyage on Hive

It has been quite the ride. Back then the platform had a different name, but I can't remember it. 2017 was my most active year and since then the BTC value of my Crypto Portfolio has not changed much. I managed to make about 0.1 BTC back then solely from writing my posts and since I have invested and gambled a lot my earnings and spendings kind of equalled out. I also transfered a couple hundred bucks into the real world via REWE gift cards.
Hardly anyone I knew back then is still active now and vice versa, the only exception being maybe @felixxx. The most fond memory I have of hive are my long conversations with @dwinblood. They made me become a libertarian, even though I had clear anarcho tendencies before. For this sole reason hive is more to me than just a way to earn free magic internet moneyz, it is a place where I changed my mind.

Another important step in my Hive Journey is the @hiq. For a couple of years 97% of my hive related time was chilling with @quekery, @smooms, @mary-me and the other HiQ-Supporters in Discord. But one thing I have not mentioned yet is that hive used to be an occupation and way to be productive for me when I am currently unemployed, so I often abondened the platform when I got a new job. Not this time though! I feel like my new job is relaxed enough with a short commute so that I have the time to be active on hive while working my 9-5.

There is surely a lot of things that could be improved on hive, and I still feel like there could be a hive-like project in the future that makes hive obsolete, but it held more than 7 years and I feel like maybe just maybe hive will become more popular at some point and @hivewatchers and the whales wont go ham on the innocent incoming civilians...

I would still love more political content and looking at what an ugly disgusting shithole Twitter has become I think there is a high demand of an alternative social media platform where the users own their accounts and your stake gives you influence.

Vor zwei Tagen ist es passiert. Da der Hive/BTC-Kurs auf einem historischen Tiefstand war, beschloss ich, weitere 0,005 BTC in Hive zu tauschen. Ich habe auch schon ein paar Tage früher getauscht und versucht, meinen Dollar(BTC)-Durchschnitt zu senken. Natürlich habe ich etwas hive aufgepowered und hier sind wir! Mit etwa 6.600 HP habe ich endlich die Hürde genommen, mich von einem kleinen Fisch zu einem der kultigsten Meeresbewohner zu entwickeln: einem Delfin.

Meine Reise im Hive

Es war ein ganz schönes Abenteuer. Damals hatte die Plattform noch einen anderen Namen, aber ich kann mich nicht mehr erinnern welchen. 2017 war mein aktivstes Jahr, und seither hat sich der BTC-Wert meines Krypto-Portfolios nicht viel verändert. Ich habe damals etwa 0,1 BTC allein durch das Schreiben meiner Beiträge verdient und da ich viel investiert und gezockt habe, hielten sich meine Einnahmen und Ausgaben seitdem in etwa die Waage. Ich habe auch ein paar hundert Dollar über REWE-Geschenkkarten in die reale Welt transferiert.
Kaum jemand, den ich damals kannte, ist heute noch aktiv und umgekehrt, die einzige Ausnahme ist vielleicht @felixxx. Die schönste Erinnerung, die ich an hive habe, sind meine langen Gespräche mit @dwinblood. Sie haben mich dazu gebracht, ein Libertärer zu werden, obwohl ich schon vorher klare Anarcho-Tendenzen hatte. Allein aus diesem Grund ist Hive für mich mehr als nur eine Möglichkeit, kostenloses magisches Internet-Geld zu verdienen, es ist ein Ort, an dem ich meine Meinung geändert habe.

Ein weiterer wichtiger Schritt auf meiner Hive-Reise ist der @hiq. Ein paar Jahre lang verbrachte ich 97% meiner Hive-Zeit mit @quekery, @smooms, @mary-me und den anderen HiQ-Supportern in Discord. Eine Sache, die ich noch nicht erwähnt habe, ist, dass hive für mich eine Beschäftigung und eine Möglichkeit war, produktiv zu sein, wenn ich gerade arbeitslos bin, so dass ich die Plattform oft verlassen habe, wenn ich einen neuen Job bekam. Diesmal aber nicht! Ich habe das Gefühl, dass mein neuer Job entspannt genug ist, mit einem kurzen Arbeitsweg, so dass ich die Zeit habe, auf hive aktiv zu sein, während ich meinen 9-5 Job mache.

Es gibt sicherlich eine Menge Dinge, die an hive verbessert werden könnten, und ich habe immer noch das Gefühl, dass es in der Zukunft ein hive-ähnliches Projekt geben könnte, das hive überflüssig macht, aber es hat mehr als 7 Jahre gehalten, und ich habe das Gefühl, dass hive vielleicht irgendwann beliebter wird und @hivewatchers und die Wale nicht auf die unschuldigen ankommenden Zivilisten losgehen werden...

Ich würde mich immer noch über mehr politische Inhalte freuen, und wenn ich mir anschaue, was für ein hässliches, ekelhaftes Drecksloch Twitter geworden ist, denke ich, dass es eine große Nachfrage nach einer alternativen Social-Media-Plattform gibt, bei der die Nutzer ihre Konten besitzen und dein Stake dir Einfluss gibt.
