2023 is a year that was filled with so many unexpected experiences and challenges. I started it off all pumped to pursue my goals but then life hit hard and fast like it always does. Still, I kept up with the goals and hit a good number of them.

This is basically how every year is for most people. The Euphoria is insane in the beginning but then things just become normal again once the holidays are over. I am one of those people and even though I feel really pumped for the new year, I know that the excitement will reduce drastically after a day or two. Still, I know I will hit many of my goals like I always do.

I have a number of 2023 goals that I couldn't attain but then I am very proud that I reached many of my fitness goals.

I started training properly in September of 2022 and after that year was over, I made 2023 my gym year promising to never skip leg day too. Back when I just started, I weighed about 64kg. When 2023 began, I had the goal of getting to 75kg by the end of the year. Trust me, gaining weight isn't really easy but I smashed that goal and weighed about 75.3kg the last time I checked. I also got way stronger, packed on a lot of muscle and started to really enjoy leg day.

Having achieved these goals that were very physically and mentally challenging, I am much more motivated and disciplined to go after every other goal in the new year. 2024 is going to be my sixth and last year in the university and I plan to finish strong.

Speaking on the financial part, we've all seen the signs of a bull market coming in 2024. I will be busy with school most of the time but I won't let this bull market pass me by. This time around I am switching tactics and planning myself for every quarter of the year.

Of course, in 2024, I will also go harder at the gym. I don't know how much progress I can make because it has begun to slow down but I guess 80kg is a moderate goal.

Lastly, but most importantly, in the new year I plan to get closer to family and friends. I mourned an unexpected number of people this year and I have many regrets in that regard. I will cherish my relationships more this year not just because there is a sad ending awaiting all of us but because these relationships are worth more than all the money in the world.

Conclusion

I am excited for the new year. I'm very grateful to be alive to see the year so I ought to be excited. There will be ups and downs but that's just how life works.
