Three Tune Tuesday is back! It's always fun to look back and dig up some interesting songs that I haven't heard in awhile. Today I decided to do a nice blend of styles so that everyone will like at least one of them!
What do most musicians tend to sing about? Relationship problems would probably be number one, so I though lets roll with that one. Today's theme is about men singing about women problems. The list of these songs could go one for days, but I found three fun ones that I hope you all can enjoy!
One of these day's I'll have to do the exact opposite, women singing about men problems!
Today I'll start out with a some hard rock with a little band called Motley Crue. If you've read some of my past TTT's I've discussed them quite a bit. It's amazing they're all still alive. These guys have been through new wives almost once a decade or more often. So I thought we could start off with "Don't Go Away Mad (Just Go Away)". It's a fun one, take a listen:
Next up I went with something more obscure from the 1980's. Again the list was a long one, but this is one I hadn't heard in a long while. The Icicle Works are and English band that came out of Liverpool and formed in 1980. They had some music on the charts in the UK in the early 80's. Like most bands they went through some lineup changes but in 1986 they released this particular punk style song "Understanding Jane", a great song!
Next up to finish off the trio for the day I'm bringing in The Georgia Satellites. They formed in 1980 in Atlanta, Georgia and had some modest early success. They have a southern rock sound sometimes venturing into hard rock or even a blues type sound. It wasn't until 1986 that they really hit a homerun with a song called "Keep Your Hands To Yourself". It hit number two on the US charts in 1986, it's a fun song and I'm sure almost everyone knows this particular song!
Thanks to @ablaze for sponsoring Three Tune Tuesday, it's always fun to hear all sorts of great songs! @tengolotodo even brought in a Bing Crosby song today, I never saw that one coming!
