Good day to all of you folks out there who walk around with a camera hung around your neck or have a smartphone in your pocket.
Waiting for the next opportunity to snap a few pics of what it is that has caught our attention can occur at any moment. This is the 1st time I've gotten involved with the POBphotocontest. The topic MOVEMENT is something we should all do a little more of.
The following photos were taken at our farm here in Upstate NY. Any time we can get kids unplugged from the technology that surrounds them is a good thing. For our family, basketball has been such a big part of our life. In the following pictures, you will see three generations playing hoops and loving every minute of these special times spent together as a family. Here we have one of our sons playing with two of his kids, my grandchildren.
When brother and sister face off for a little one-on-one
the competitive juices start to flow.
MOVEMENT, what better way to exercise than to have some fun while doing so. Childhood obesity is a serious problem in the United States, putting children and adolescents at risk for poor health.
Here we have Dad driving to the basket making us all laugh with his antics. What a healthy duo, movement and laughter.
I told you that when these two square off for a game things get competitive. As her brother lies on the ground the referee, that's me, calls a foul.
Without hesitation, my lovely granddaughter extended a hand to help her brother get up.
Getting involved with sports has so many benefits.
Besides keeping you in shape it teaches you many life skills
that can be put into practice in later years.
Back in the day, you would see some space between my sneakers and the ground, but these days I don't move like I once did. But, shooting the rock is like riding a bike, once you've got it you don't lose it.
All of these pictures were taken with our Cannon PowerShot SX530 HS, by my better half, @farm-mom.
@friendlymoose, being that this is my first entry for this contest, I hope that I've followed all of the guidelines.
