Hello everyone!

How are you all? In this post I bring you a game that I had quite forgotten: ARK Survival Evolved. As many of you already know, this game is one of my favorites and since I was able to play it for the first time it easily became a perfect survival game to enjoy with friends. The times we've played ARK I've had an incredible time, but unfortunately the more time passes the more interesting things to do are running out, so little by little the "fire" that keeps interesting to keep playing is extinguished, and eventually I just get lonely and this is what bores me about ARK.

But not long ago we managed to install a GTX 1060 on the secondary PC, and this meant being able to play heavier stuff and one of these games was ARK. After downloading it on the secondary PC, @jotaunive and I have been playing it till we can't haha.

For all games I usually have settings to have a "faster" experience when playing. ARK in its factory settings is an extremely difficult game to play for the first time, despite having 331 hours logged I haven't played any map that doesn't contain these settings... maybe it's about time to do so, lol.

Playing with @jotaunive is something I've always wanted to do as we're both pretty big dinosaur fans and ARK has been both of our favorite game for a long time. Because we only had one computer we could only watch each other play, lol. So far Jota only has the base ARK installed since he doesn't have any expansion purchased on his account, but seeing all that we have achieved in The Island, we are already thinking about playing directly an amazing expansion like Extinction or Aberration (for me, the 2 best expansions that this game has).

The Island is so far the map I have played the most, I know every corner of this map as it has been the map I have played the most individually and also with my friends. The person with whom I played this map the most was @rishahp since this is where our beginnings in ARK were.

In this map we decided to make a house in places where I had lived before so it was much easier in the beginning. So far we have different "bases" scattered throughout the map, as Jota's gameplay is similar to mine (we are just explorers and don't spend much time at home) so it's been a hell of a lot more fun. But soon I will show you where we have built these little bases XD.

In this map the dinosaurs are modified to have very high levels. This in a way is a double-edged sword because it allows us to have higher level dinosaurs with better stats, but at the same time lethal dinosaurs that with only 1-2 hits make us shit (in a cave I was killed by a giant bear level 501, lol).

Thanks to this I was able to tame a level 160 Pteranodon that was my companion for the whole beginning of this map. I decided to raise all the points to speed, and reaching almost 300% speed this Pteranodon could run the whole island in less than 10 minutes.

Even once while playing the light went out and the Pteranodon was left flying. We had to tame a Brontosaurus to ride on its neck to call it with a whistle XD

That was my adventure companion until the inevitable came: time to tame an Argentavis.

If you know me, you'll know that the Argentavis is undoubtedly my favorite dinosaur. It can fly, it has enviable stats and they are simply beautiful, so in every map I play I can't be without one of these as they are the best thing ARK has to offer.

And to my luck, I managed to tame a level 280 one.

This was the birth of Charcoal, the most fearsome Argentavis on The Island and so far the highest leveled Argentavis I've had in all this time I've played ARK. Because the level of this one was too high, the amount of time we had to wait for it to be tamed was quite large, so it gave me time to find Jota at our base and bring him to see the beast I had just tamed.

On the way I tried to take some poetic photos, but it was a bit more complicated task than I thought haha.

It was here that so far I got the most amazing dinosaur I've had in all my time playing ARK: Charcoal, the strongest Argentavis you'll ever see in your entire life.

But for now, I won't go more in depth about all our adventures (which, believe it or not, have been a lot since we've been playing for days). We've had misfortunes happen to us and also failures, but we've had so much fun that in our free time (about 3-4 hours a day) we don't hesitate to open something other than ARK XD.

¿Cómo están? En este post les traigo un juego que tenía bastante olvidado: ARK Survival Evolved. Como muchos ya sabrán, este juego es uno de mis favoritos y desde que pude jugarlo por primera vez fácilmente se convirtió en un survival perfecto para disfrutarlo con amigos. Las veces que hemos jugado ARK la he pasado increíble, aunque lastimosamente mientras más pasa el tiempo se van agotando la cantidad de cosas interesantes para hacer, por lo que poco a poco se va apagando el "fuego" que mantiene interesante el seguir jugando, y a la larga simplemente quedo solo y esto es lo que me aburre de ARK.

Pero no hace mucho logramos instalar una GTX 1060 en la PC secundaria, y esto significó poder jugar cosas más pesadas y uno de estos juegos fue ARK. Luego de haberlo descargado en la PC secundaria, @jotaunive y yo hemos jugado hasta más no poder haha.

Para todas las partidas suelo tener configuraciones para tener una experencia más "rápida" al jugar. ARK en sus configuraciones de fábrica es un juego extremadamente difícil para jugarlo por primera vez, a pesar de tener 331 horas registradas no he jugado ningún mapa que no contenga estas configuraciones.. tal vez ya viene siendo hora de hacerlo, lol.

Jugar con @jotaunive es algo que siempre he querido ya que ambos somos bastante fanáticos de los dinosaurios y ARK ha sido el juego favorito de ambos por mucho tiempo. Debido a que solamente teníamos una computadora solo podíamos ver como el otro jugaba, lol. Hasta ahora Jota solo tiene instalado el ARK base ya que no tiene ninguna expansión comprada en su cuenta, pero viendo todo lo que hemos logrado en The Island, ya estamos pensando en jugar directamente una expansión increíble como lo sería Extinction o Aberration (para mí, las 2 mejores expansiones que tiene este juego).

The Island es hasta ahora el mapa que más he jugado, me conozco cada rincón de este mapa ya que ha sido el mapa que más he jugado individualmente y también con mis amigos. La persona con la que jugué más este mapa fue @rishahp ya que aquí fueron nuestros comienzos en ARK.

En este mapa decidimos hacer una casa en lugares donde ya había vivido antes para que fuera mucho más fácil al comienzo. Hasta ahora tenemos distintas "bases" regadas a lo largo del mapa, ya que el modo de juego de Jota es parecido al mío (simplemente somos exploradores y no pasamos mucho tiempo en casa) así que ha sido muchísimo más divertido. Pero pronto les mostraré dónde hemos construido estas pequeñas bases XD.

En este mapa los dinosaurios están modificados para que tengan niveles altísimos. Esto en cierto modo es un arma de doble filo ya que nos permite tener dinosaurios de mayor nivel y con mejores estadísticas, pero al mismo tiempo dinosaurios letales que con solo 1-2 golpes nos hacen mierda (en una cueva me mató un oso gigante nivel 501, lol).

Gracias a esto pude domesticar un Pteranodon nivel 160 que fue mi compañero de aventuras durante todo el comienzo de este mapa. Decidí subirle todos los puntos a velocidad, y alcanzando casi un 300% de velocidad este Pteranodon podía recorrer toda la isla en menos de 10 minutos.

Incluso una vez mientras jugaba la luz se fue y el Pteranodon quedó volando. Tuvimos que domesticar un Brontosaurio para montarme en el cuello de este y así lograr llamarlo con un silbido XD.

Ese fue mi compañero de aventuras hasta que llegó lo inevitable: La hora de domesticar un Argentavis.

Si me conocen, sabrán que el Argentavis es, indudablemente, mi dinosaurio favorito. Puede volar, tiene estadísticas envidiables y simplemente son hermosos, así que en cada mapa que juego no puedo estar sin uno de estos ya que son lo mejor que tiene ARK.

Y para mi suerte, logré domesticar uno de nivel 280.

Este fue el nacimiento de Carbón, el Argentavis más temible de The Island y hasta ahora el Argentavis con mayor nivel que he tenido en todo este tiempo que he jugado ARK. Debido a que el nivel de este era demasiado alto, la cantidad de tiempo que tuvimos que esperar para que se domesticara fue bastante grande, por lo que me dio tiempo a buscar a Jota en nuestra base y traerlo para que viera la bestia que acababa de domesticar.

En el camino intenté tomar unas fotos poéticas, pero fue una tarea un poco más complicada de lo que creí haha.

Fue aquí donde hasta ahora obtuve el dinosaurio más increíble que he tenido en todo mi tiempo jugando ARK: Carbón, el Argentavis más fuerte que verás en toda tu vida.

Pero por ahora, no me iré más a profundidad respecto a todas nuestras aventuras (que, aunque no lo crean, han sido muchísimas ya que llevamos días jugando). Nos han sucedido desgracias y también fallos, pero hemos tenido tanta diversión que en nuestros tiempos libres (unas 3-4 horas al día) no dudamos en abrir otra cosa que no sea ARK XD.
