Some Superb Hive Competitions!

in #hive-1503293 years ago

Hey there everyone, and a special shoutout to the ListNerd’s Community!

I understand that not everyone has been around Hive and some of the fantastic communities for too long, therefore I thought it would be a great idea to highlight some of my favorite competitions.

So, without further ado, I bring to you, Hive competitions!

1. The Weekend Community

Here we have Weekend-Engagement Friday blog prompts. These receive great rewards and really help if you’re a little stuck in your writing. Pop in there if you’re looking for some motivation. The prompts might be a little challenging at times, but they’re great to give you some content to think about.

Read the rules of engagement carefully, as with most competitions.

2. Silverbloggers Community

I know I mention this community often, but they truly show such great support. Before you’ll be able to join their competitions, you need to become a member. If you’re under 40 years old, scroll along to the next one, as it’s for 40-plus members.

Here you will find Blog of the Month, which, as the name states, happens monthly. Not only do they have great prize pools, but good quality posts are also up for curation by OCD. If you’re ripe and ready, go and pop in there.

3. Feathered Friends Community

Did you perhaps snap off a great bird picture somewhere down the line? Then be sure to head on over to the Feathered Friends - Show me a Photo Contest

They’re currently running on round 65, which is a Songbirds theme. I haven’t participated in any of these yet, but I notice regular great rewards for your efforts here.

4. The Inkwell Community

Do you fancy yourself being a writer? You can try your hand at the weekly Inkwell Prompt.

Please note, that this community is reserved for short stories only. No novel & chapter-type stories will be accepted. I accidentally tagged them in a chapter I wrote and got polite, yet firm feedback on this, haha. We all make mistakes though, but again, check the community and competition engagement rules carefully before applying.

5. Monomad Black & White Photography Competition

Hosted by @monochromes, this is for top-quality black & white photography. If you’re serious about photography and can work with that camera of yours, you are bound to end up on the winner’s list, or at least receive a special mention.

These tend to run most days, so there’s lots of time to practice, before giving it a whirl.

There are a ton of competitions running regularly on Hive. You can search the competition tag, which will bring up loads of posts. These can be great if you’re trying to find some inspiration.

Competitions are a great way to get your name out there and earn some extra rewards. Go pop in there, have a squiz, and see if any of these may be a good fit for you.

Thanks for stopping by :)

Cheers!
