If you have already tested the WOOGAME public beta, I'm sure you've wondered about this – how can it be called a wrestling-themed game without a championship belt? You are not alone, and guess what? WOO does not disappoint. Because it's designed to be a game for the people, every player gets the chance to create their own wrestling promotion. This means every player can also create their own championship belts. Yes! You read that right; you can create your own belt for your promotion in the WOOGame.
How? By burning $WOO tokens, the native currency of Wrestling Organization Online. This process is undertaken so that the championship belt you create becomes another NFT in the game with inherent value.
You can put the belt on the line for other wrestling promotions (players) to challenge you for it. Whenever you put a title on the line, the WOOGame is designed to increase the prize pool for that show. As you know, there is a certain amount of $WOO tokens that can be won in every show, depending on the ratings of the city you fought in, the levels of the NFTs you used (the higher their level, the more people will come to the show to watch and spend), and a few other factors that I will discuss in later posts.
By putting a championship title on the line, you can earn more $WOO tokens, but only if you win the match and retain your belt. Even though you created the belt by burning your own $WOO tokens, the Blockchain will determine the title's ownership. If you lose a match to your opponent, the belt will automatically transfer to them, and the Blockchain will ensure transparency by recording and retaining all historical information about that title on the Hive Blockchain.
Creating a championship belt serves as an additional source of income in gameplay. It also provides an incentive for other players to have matches with you, knowing they can earn more upon defeating you. I suggest building up your cards (wrestlers) before putting your title on the line, as there are formidable opponents out there who are always ready to challenge you.
