A Day In My Life As a Hiver.

Hello everyone, welcome to a day in my life as a hiver. I hope you are all having a good day.

As you may or may not be aware, I’m a practicing Muslim and I live in Tamale, Ghana. This day was a little different from my usual days.

Apart from my usual 9 to 5 job, I had two other meetings to attend. One was a Hive-related meeting and the other was a youth advocacy meeting.

Just like every other day, my day started with an early dawn congregational prayer (fajr) in the mosque at 4:50 am. Attending fajr prayers on time is the best way to start a new day. In that way, I’m spiritually prepared for the hustle ahead.

Fajr prayers take less than 20 minutes and after that, I just press my phone until it’s 6 am. After 6 am, I get ready for work. My workplace is only about a 10-minute ride from my house. I’m supposed to be at my work latest by 8:30, so I kinda have some time to get ready. I don’t take breakfast before I get to work I don’t have breakfast at all. The first thing I do is take a cup of coffee immediately after I get to my office and that’s enough for my breakfast.

The first activity for the day was to attend a @Hivestudentshub meeting arranged by @abdul01. The meeting was between the representatives of the Hive students hub and the head teacher of Gaf international school, a basic school in Tamale that was a beneficiary of the @HiveGhana and Hive Students Hub community’s school materials donations. I had to leave my office for a while to attend this meeting.

The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the welfare of the students and how we can manage to use the Hive blockchain as a tool to improve and enhance the quality of education in the school.
The meeting was successful and hopefully, in the future we can have an official Hive account for these amazing students.

I got back to my work right after the meeting. I work at an agricultural non-governmental organization called Winesome. We are specialized in providing agricultural inputs and services. We also major in farm out-grower schemes where we provide inputs and services for peasant farmers in return for farm produce. I work as an office and logistics manager in this company.

The last major activity for the day was a Tamale Konnect meeting. Tamale Konnect is a network of young creators and entrepreneurs in Tamale. The meeting was scheduled to start at 6 pm and end at 9 pm. I had a lot of fun hanging out with my colleagues. I was able to catch up with some old friends and I even managed to get aquatinted with a few folks.

It was an awesome day. I did a lot of productive stuff and saw some great faces. I had a lot of fun too. I wish I could show you more pictures but my camera is that terrible. I apologize.

Anyway, this was basically how my day went. Thank you for reading and hopefully, I would see you around.
