Hive in My Life
Hive has impacted my life in so many ways. With Hive, I now have a platform where I can freely express myself and also read about amazing stuff from people all over the world. And to even think of the fact that I get rewarded each time I share a story or share a comment on someone else’s story, it’s incredible.
Hive has also connected me with so many amazing people far and near. Reading from these people has in turn made me more open minded and aware of what is going on in different parts of the world.
Apart from that, Hive has also helped me to be more sensitive with my time. Before Hive, I was a heavy content feeder on social media. Now after realizing the importance of sharing content on Hive, I have become more of a content creator than a content feeder. I’ve become more productive with my time on social media, thanks to Hive.
Another positive impact I’ve gained from being part of the Hive ecosystem is information preservation. After learning that content shared on the blockchain can not be deleted or removed, I have deliberately made this platform my life journal. I write stories here that I intend to read to my grandchildren in the future.
Hive in Ghana🇬🇭
Being a member of the Hive Students Hub Community, I have been actively involved in donating exercise books, pens and other hive related souvenirs to basic schools here in Tamale Ghana.
There’s an African proverb that says “If you're to cure a chicken you do so while it is still kicking”. These school items are very critical in everyday learning. Donating these materials to the students was a kind gesture to lower the burden on parents at the time that they needed it most.
Thanks to Hive, over 1000 school items have been donated to students across Ghana to facilitate their learning process.
Another critical aspect that Hive has made recognized contributions in is our healthcare. Recently, the Hive valueplan in collaboration with the Hive Ghana Community organized effective health screening services in Ghana, for Ghanaians.
How about the famous Hive boreholes across Ghana. Hive has made safe drinking water accessible in eight rural communities across Ghana through donating boreholes systems. Thanks to Hive, the people of these communities now have access to safe water that is accessible at all times. These Hive borehole projects have been helpful in improving the productivity and health of people in benefited communities.
Hive in the World
I know for a fact that Ghana is not the only country that is benefiting from Hive’s social intervention projects.
However, despite the contributions and impacts Hive is continuously making in the lives and livelihoods of people, there’s still some fear and uncertainty in fully replacing cryptocurrencies with traditional fiat currencies.
But that is not to say a future where cryptocurrencies will takeover financial institutions is impossible. Hive is constantly changing this narrative by implementing needful intervention projects and constantly improving the technical aspects of the blockchain, and with that a future of cryptocurrency is inevitable.
